The first two rounds of the former VLN - now Nurbürgring Endurance Series - are cancelled because of SARS-CoV-2 and the 24 Hours of Nurbürgring is postponed to 24. to 27. September later this year. The first round of the Endurance Series was planned for this weekend, which will now take place in November. The whole calendar will be rescheduled around the highlight of the year at the Nurbürgring and will further consider the developments of the complications with the virus pandemic at the moment.

But there are also good news around the corner!

Michelle Halder, current German racing driver in the TCR Germany championship, will join the series together with her brother Mike Halder and the Profi-Car Team Halder, lining up a Cupra TCR in the SP3T class. How many races she will drive is still unconfirmed.

"I am very happy to finally inform you that I will start this year in the VLN and in the SP3T class. But how many races I will actually race in the VLN is still open. I am looking forward to many exciting race weekends."

And there is another fresh announcement: Charlie Martin will join the series as well, with a BMW M240i Cup car. She will also be making her debut at the 24 hours of the Nurbürgring with BMW Motorsport.

Charlie Martin started her activities in motorsport with hillclimbing racing in 2004. In 2012, she entered a formula car without any team's support. In 2018, she switched from hillclimbing racing to circuit racing and drove in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge for Richardson Racing. In the same year, she tested a LMP3 car for Racing Experience.

Her dream is to be the first transgender participant at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

"Excited to announce I’m racing a BMW M240i Cup car in the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series! I’ll also be making my 24hr debut in the ADAC Total N24 race."
