Scottish teenager Katia Loggie will return to the Vertu Motors Mini Challenge UK for her second year in the championship, joining forces once again with Excelr8 Motorsport as she tackles the Cooper category.

In her rookie year of competitions, Loggie made significant steps forward in 2023 and especially took great strides in the second half of the year, finishing the season with 14th place in the Rookie class standings.

She scored a best finish of 14th during at Thruxton and ended the year at Brands Hatch in another particularly convincing performance, in which she finished 16th having gained ten positions from the start.

Despite being thrown in at the deep end in the highly competitive Cooper class, Loggie showed adaptability over the season and will now be looking to apply the experience gained into her sophomore campaign in 2024.

"I can't wait to get started with racing again and I'm aiming to begin the year with a strong start", Katia commented. "With my A-Levels also being a focus, I am committed to balancing my education and racing while achieving the results I hope for too."

Loggie has worked with the team to carry momentum from her positive rookie season and will be eyeing more progress - whilst continuing to prepare for her school education.

"My main aim is to push myself to get consistent results further up the grid, and develop my racing from all that I learnt last year. I'm excited to be going to Pembrey for the first time this season, and I can't wait to continue improving throughout this year."

The 2024 season is set to get underway on 13-14 April at Snetterton, and will then head to Pembrey in May before rounds at Thruxton and Donington Park. The seven-event calendar will continue at Croft and Silverstone in September, with the season finale scheduled for 2-3 November at Brands Hatch.
