LAURA KRAIHAMER WINS ADAC GT4 OPENER

Updated: May 3, 2019

Austrian Laura Kraihamer has won the opening round of the 2019 ADAC GT4 championship at Oschersleben.

The 2019 ADAC GT4 Championship raised its curtains the past weekend at Oschersleben Motorsport Arena, Germany.

There was no better way to start the season for Austrian duo Laura Kraihamer and Reinhard Kofler, who won the Sunday's race in dominant fashion on the KTM X-Bow GT4 run by team True Racing.

A drive-through penalty in Saturday's race stopped the Austrians from race 1 success, but after a start from 4th on the grid, the second race proved Kofler-Kraihamer the duo to beat.

The two official KTM drivers, both very experienced on GT4 machinery, took the lead of the race after the initial stages and soared to victory with a 13 seconds gap over second place.

27 year-old Laura Kraihamer, who proviously drove the KTM X-Bow GT4 at the ADAC 24h of Nurburgring, completed the second stint of the race unhindered and now sits on top of the standings.

In her words:

“ Crazy. After yesterday, this victory feels particularly nice today. Big thank to all the team, especially Reini for his incredible first stint."
