MoneyLion launches "Women Who Roar" Campaign to Support Paretta at Indy500

MoneyLion will be the first sponsor of the No. 16 IndyCar by Paretta Autosport, which will be driven by Swiss driver Simona De Silvestro at the Indy 500 2021. The company has launched the "Woman Who Roar" campaign to support women across finance, science and technology.

The female-led Paretta Autosport team announced their first sponsor for the 2021 Indy500 entry, which will mark Simona de Silvestro's return to the world's most famous Speedway: it will be MoneyLion, a US-based money and technology company.

As part of the deal, the "Women Who Roar" campaign was launched to empower women in all fields, especially targeting environments such as finance, science and technology.

Next to the project, MoneyLion and Paretta added a non-profit science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) mentorship initiative under the name of "Play Like a Girl", which is designed to connect girls in middle and high-school ages with the female leaders in the motorsport industry.

MoneyLion is a financial app with a all-in-one goal: borrow, save, invest and earn. The mission is to empower people to take control over their finances.

"MoneyLion is committed to providing the financial products, educational resources and mentorship that’s much needed to level the playing field for today’s workforce and future generations of female leaders,” said Samantha Roady, MoneyLion Chief Operating Officer.

“Beth Paretta has built an incredible, inspiring team with Simona as the driver. We’re proud to support a female-owned and operated business and to shine a light on inspiring women’s professional achievements through our sponsorship. We look forward to working closely with the team to bring ‘Women Who Roar’ to life.”

Paretta Autosport is the first female owned, female driven and female forward race team in IndyCar. It is part of the “Race for Equality and Change” initiative and will start at the 105th Indianapolis 500 in this year. Swiss driver Simona de Silvestro, Indy500 rookie of the year 2010, will be back behind the wheel after a 6-year absence. More here: Simona De Silvestro will enter the Indy500 with Paretta Autosport

“We’re thrilled to align with MoneyLion because of our shared ideals,” said Beth Paretta, CEO/team principal of Paretta Autosport.

“MoneyLion’s focus on empowering women through improved financial access and literacy is a direct parallel to our mission of helping women advance their careers. We’re pleased that MoneyLion sees the value of our women-forward racing program and greatly look forward to being a part of their ‘Women Who Roar’ campaign.”

The 2021 Indy500 is scheduled for 30th May.
