Pippa Mann partners with watchmaker Omologato for Nürburgring 24H

At the next edition of the Nürburgring 24H race – one of the toughest races on the planet – fans will have the opportunity to own some truly exclusive memorabilia: five watches that will literally compete in Pippa Mann's WS Racing Audi, as the British racing star partners with Omologato for the upcoming endurance classic.

Few events have remained in the collective imagery of every motor racing enthusiast throughout the decades like the Nürburgring 24H: it is part of those few elites races, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Daytona, the Indianapolis 500 and the Monaco GP – the crown jewels that every professional racing driver has dreamt about since starting his/her career.

British driver Pippa Mann, one of the most popular figures in Indycar, is certainly no stranger to some of them. Having started seven editions of the Indianapolis 500, Mann will in fact add one more highlights to her already bright sporting resumé next June: as part of the all-female 'Girls Only' team by WS Racing, Pippa Mann will take the start of the mighty 24-hour race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

And, if Pippa is once again making history and breaking boundaries in the world of motor racing, she will be sharing part of that adventure with some lucky fans. Thanks to a newly-launched partnership, five LM Black Edition Omologato watches will be literally competing in the race alongside Mann and her co-drivers, to become unique pieces of memorabilia available for purchase (from Tuesday May 25th).

The watches will travel from the US to Germany with the racing driver herself, before being strapped in the Audi R8 LMS GT4 entry ahead of the biggest GT race around the famous 25km racetrack in the Eifel on June 6th.

Every motorsport fan has probably dreamt about owning a piece of history of this sport - be it a battered piece of a race car, or a driver-worn item. Pippa Mann's brand activation at the 49th running of the ADAC Total Nürburgring 24 Hours goes a step further, combining all that with a stunning piece of hand-made watchmaking.

"I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to activate with Omologato at such a famous event, and to have the opportunity to create these five collectible items for race fans to own,” said Pippa Mann. “Having these watches race with us inside the WS Racing Girls Only Giti Tire Audi GT4 is going to be very cool, and I hope race fans are as excited by this idea as we are."

Mann is also scheduled to make an appearance at Indianapolis' Master Jewelry store on Friday May 21st, from 5-7pm, where fans will have the chance to meet and greet the driver – who, among her record-breaking achievements, has been the first ever female pole-sitter at Indianapolis Motor Speedway – as well as admire the Omologato watches in the flesh.

“We’re not just about a logo on a car,” explained Shami Kalra, founder of Omologato, “we believe in authenticity and having partnered with Pippa last fall, we felt it was time we went racing with her. The idea of having our watches literally compete with her, and her team-mates in the event, and of creating five unique pieces of racing memorabilia that fans can own after the event was something we felt really connected to the spirit of what we call #TeamOmologato.”

The brand has a 25-year history in motorsport and has partnered with important names within the industry.

The five watches that will be racing at the "Green Hell" will be available for purchase from Tuesday May 25th, 1pm UK time/8am ET on the Omologato website and will be shipped post-race with the unique edition number and a certificate of authenticity.
