The continuation of Rafaela Ferreira and Cecília Rabelo's journey in the Brazilian F4 championship in 2024 was announced in recent days, confirming expectations of their return for a sophomore campaign. The 18 and 16 year old drivers respectively, made their debut in the series in 2023 and reached important milestones through the season. Rafaela and Cecília are getting ready to continue their learning path and development on the Brazilian racetracks.

Rafaela Ferreira became the first woman to reach the podium in the series, finishing in third place overall - and first among the rookies - in the penultimate race of the season, in Interlagos. In total, the TMG Racing driver collected 40 points, finishing 13th in the drivers' standings in 2023.

She will remain in the same team and will continue to work hard, aiming for new achievements in her second year in F4 Brazil: "I'm very happy to continue with TMG in 2024, last year we had a season and evolved a lot together. I believe in the team's potential and we are working to fight for the top of the championship together this year!” - said Rafaela Ferreira about the announcement.

Cecília Rabelo also debuted in F4 Brazil last year with Cavaleiro Sport Racing; her main highlight of the season was arguably the pole position achieved in the fifth round - held on the same weekend as the Formula 1 São Paulo Grand Prix, in Interlagos. Despite missing most of the races due to an injury suffered in the first round, Rabelo scored 16 points in the rounds in which she was present.

Now, Cecília Rabelo will be at a new team for her second season in F4 Brazil - Bassani Racing. She also shared her expectations for the year: “I'm very happy to be joining Bassani Racing for the 2024 season! Last year I made my debut in the series, but I ended up missing some races due to an injury, so I hope that this first full year in F4 Brazil will be very fruitful within Bassani Racing. I can't wait to get in the car again and start work for the 2024 season.”

The 2024 F4 Brazil season features 8 rounds - two more than 2023, and is scheduled to start on March 24th, at the Velocittà Circuit.
