Alexia Danielsson set for F1 Academy debut as TeamViewer-supported Wild Card in Austin
Alexia Danielsson has been confirmed as the Wild Card entry for the fifth round of the F1 Academy season at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, with the 17-year-old Swedish driver set to make her series debut at the wheel of the TeamViewer-operated Hitech car.

The announcement comes just days after Danielsson impressed at the second F1 Academy Rookie Test in Navarra, where she topped the afternoon session and finished second-fastest overall, providing an encouraging platform for her first competitive appearance in the all-female championship.
Danielsson's single-seater career began in 2022 in Aquilia Formula 1000 before she progressed to Nordic 4 for the 2024 season. She secured her first victory in the championship the following year, while also making her debut in GT racing by joining the Porsche Sprint Challenge Scandinavia, where she immediately won on her first weekend in a GT car. Danielsson subsequently took part in the inaugural F1 Academy Rookie Test, recording the sixth-fastest time in both sessions as she gained her first experience of the series.
The 2026 season has seen Danielsson continue her development through the F4 CEZ Championship with the support of More than Equal. Competing against a competitive international field, the Swedish driver has so far recorded five points-scoring finishes and achieved a season-best sixth place in Race 2 at Autodrom Most. Her F4 CEZ campaign, alongside a solid testing program with More Than Equal, has provided her the credentials to enter the latest F1 Academy Rookie Test with McLaren colours.
In the second edition of the championship's Rookie Test at Navarra, in fact, Danielsson was also given the opportunity to drive the Wild Card car during the collective running. In the Rookie Test, she immediately demonstrated strong pace, ending the afternoon session at the top of the timesheets and finishing second-fastest overall across the day's running - and will now proceed to make her F1 Academy racing debut.
Her #45 TeamViewer-operated Hitech car will carry a special livery at the Circuit of the Americas, designed to highlight the role of communities in supporting women's career progression both inside and outside motorsport, as part of TeamViewer's Forward Together campaign. The livery will feature 250 women who have inspired and supported others through mentorship, advocacy, knowledge sharing, career opportunities and peer-to-peer support.
The initiative builds on the company's previous campaign last year when it supported Wild Card entry Esmee Kosterman, who then graduated in 2026 to a full time seat.
