Emirati racer Amna Al Qubaisi has been announced as the first female Arab and the first Arab ever to join the Porsche Talent Pool Asia, marking another milestone in her racing career.
“I’m proud to finally share that I’ve been selected as the First Female Arab and the First Arab to join the Porsche Talent Pool Asia,” said Al Qubaisi. “Watching my father race in the Porsche Supercup when I was little was where the spark first began and when I fell in love with motorsport. Now to finally step into the same world where he once started feels incredibly special — like I’ve found my way back to where it all began, but this time in my own way. Thank you Porsche Carrera Cup Asia for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity.”
The 25-year-old from Abu Dhabi will make her debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, taking another significant step in her transition to GT and endurance racing. Her selection to the Porsche Talent Pool Asia programme – an initiative designed to support and develop emerging young talent within the Porsche Motorsport pyramid – comes at the end of her first full season in sportscars.
Amna has in fact just completed her first season in the Ligier European Series, where she enjoyed a remarkable rookie campaign at the wheel of the Group Virage Ligier JS P4 prototype, shared with her sister Hamda Al Qubaisi. The duo claimed three podium finishes and finished fourth overall in the championship standings, in a very strong adaptation season from open-wheel racing to endurance.
Al Qubaisi previously competed in F1 Academy for two seasons with MP Motorsport, representing the Visa Cash App RB colours in her sophomore year. Across her time in the all-female championship, she scored points on multiple occasions in 2024 and claimed two victories and four podiums in 2023, finishing sixth overall in the inaugural season standings.
Her name had made global headlines in 2019 when she won the F4 Trophy race at Abu Dhabi, a support event to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, becoming the first Arab woman to stand on an F1 podium and the first to win a single-seater race. Prior to that, she competed in the Italian F4 Championship, one of Europe’s most competitive junior series, and later stepped up to Formula Regional Asian Championship, where she scored points on debut at Yas Marina. Amna also added a podium finish in the F4 Saudi Championship in 2024.
The daughter of accomplished GT racer Khaled Al Qubaisi, Amna has long been inspired by her father’s success in prestigious endurance events, including multiple appearances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2025, she followed in his footsteps with her own first season in endurance racing, gaining valuable experience behind the wheel of prototype machinery and testing various GT cars in preparation for her next career phase.
Backed by Porsche’s Talent Pool Asian program, Amna Al Qubaisi’s entry in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia represents another important step forward in her racing career.
