Emirati racer Amna Al Qubaisi is set to make history next week as she becomes the first woman to compete in the Pro class of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, joining Team Jebsen for her first full campaign in Porsche GT3 Cup machinery.

Emirati racer Amna Al Qubaisi is set to make history next week as she becomes the first woman to compete in the Pro class of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. The 25-year-old from Abu Dhabi will make her debut in the championship at the season opener at Shanghai International Circuit, held in support of the Chinese Grand Prix.
Al Qubaisi joins Team Jebsen for her first full campaign in Porsche GT3 Cup machinery, marking another important step in her transition to GT and endurance racing. Her entry into the highly competitive one-make championship is supported by beauty brand Wardah Beauty, which becomes the latest cosmetics company backing a female driver as she embarks on this new chapter of her career.
The move follows her selection into the Porsche Talent Pool Asia in November 2025, where she made history as the first female Arab and the first Arab overall to join the program. The recognition came at the conclusion of her first full season in sportscar racing.
In 2025, Al Qubaisi competed in the Ligier European Series, sharing the Ligier JS P4 run by Group Virage with her sister Hamda Al Qubaisi. The duo enjoyed a strong rookie campaign, securing three podium finishes and finishing fourth overall in the championship standings, in a highly encouraging adaptation year as both drivers transitioned from single-seaters to endurance competitions.
Before moving into sportscars, Al Qubaisi spent two seasons competing in the F1 Academy with MP Motorsport. Over her time in the championship, she consistently scored points, and enjoyed a particularly strong 2023 campaign, when she claimed two victories and four podium finishes to secure sixth place in the standings.
Amna attracted global attention in 2019 when she won the F4 Trophy race at Yas Marina Circuit during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend. The victory made her the first Arab woman to stand on an F1 support-race podium and the first to win a single-seater race.
Al Qubaisi had previously competed in the Italian F4 Championship, before progressing to the Formula Regional Asian Championship, where she scored points on her debut at Yas Marina. She later also added a podium finish in the F4 Saudi Championship in 2024.
Motorsport runs in the family for the Emirati racer. She is the daughter of accomplished GT driver Khaled Al Qubaisi, whose career includes multiple appearances in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Inspired by her father’s achievements in endurance racing, Amna has increasingly shifted her focus toward GT and endurance competitions; earlier in 2026 she also entered her first major endurance classic at the 24 Hours of Dubai.
Now preparing for her first Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season, Al Qubaisi recently completed the championship’s collective test sessions and will soon line up for the opening round in Shanghai. The series features a highly competitive grid of around 30 drivers and visits several of Asia’s premier circuits throughout the season, including Zhuhai International Circuit, Fuji Speedway, Sepang International Circuit, Marina Bay Street Circuit and Thailand's Bangsaen Street Circuit.
"I’m incredibly proud to announce that I will be competing in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia making history as the first female driver to take part in Pro class amongst a grid of 30 drivers", she wrote. "A heartfelt thank you to Team Jebsen for their trust and belief in me and grateful to my sponsor Wardah Beauty for their support as I step into this exciting new chapter of my racing journey"
"It’ll be my first time to race in this car and to drive in most of the extraordinary tracks on the calendar!"
