Stock Light, the feeder series to the Stock Car Pro Series, concluded its 2025 season with the sixth and final round at Brasília, where Bruna Tomaselli, the only woman on the grid for the finale, secured a top-ten finish with seventh place in Race 1.

The Autódromo Internacional de Brasília, a 5.384 km circuit closed since 2014, underwent extensive renovations beginning in 2022 and officially reopened at the end of 2025 to host Brazil’s premier motorsport category, Stock Car. The season finale therefore marked its long-awaited return to national competitions.

Competing for SG28 Racing and now in her third season in the championship, Tomaselli has been a consistent contender in the top ten throughout the year. She claimed her first Stock Light podium with a breakthrough third place at Velopark in June, added two top-five finishes, and remained a regular front-runner aboard the #97 machine. For the last round, she was the sole female entrant, with Kaka Magno, who had achieved a career-best sixth at Velopark, absent from the Brasília weekend.

Tomaselli opened the event with a strong shakedown, going second fastest, and later placed sixth in the third practice session with encouraging speed heading into qualifying. She ultimately qualified tenth, just over 1.6 seconds off pole.

Saturday afternoon’s first race took place in dry conditions amid an otherwise mixed-weather weekend. Tomaselli lined up seventh, but drama struck before the lights went out: championship leader Enzo Bedani stopped on the formation lap, forcing a safety-car start.

Once racing finally began with 18 minutes remaining, Tomaselli had already moved into sixth: over the opening green-flag lap she fought Berlanda for position while De Valle also applied pressure from behind; Bruna eventually settled into seventh as several battles unfolded ahead.

Her pace was strong, allowing her to close back up to Berlanda in the fight for sixth. With 11 minutes to go, contact between Trombini, Berlanda and Kuhn left cars stranded on track; Tomaselli avoided the incident with quick reactions and moved up to sixth as the safety car was deployed again.

The restart came with three minutes remaining. Bruna defended firmly from Pedro Garcia and then focused forward, gaining valuable tenths on Koeniggan. She attempted an overtake but ran slightly deep, rejoining behind him and immediately having to defend from the recovering Erick Schotten, who forced his way through — opening the door for more cars close behind. On the final lap, a collision between Trombini and Myasava at the last corner allowed Tomaselli to fight back to seventh. It was a spirited drive that earned her a ninth top-ten finish of the season.

Tomaselli started tenth for Sunday morning’s second race, held under cloudy skies with rain arriving later in the contest. She avoided trouble at Turn 1 as several cars made contact behind - Bruna ran wide through the runoff but rejoined without major loss, completing the first lap in P13. Under attack, she dropped to 16th before the safety car was deployed at the end of lap two.

Racing resumed with 12 minutes left. Tomaselli battled Teixeira and briefly climbed to P15 as Bortoluzzi went wide, though the latter reclaimed the spot a lap later. Rain intensified, and Bruna had Kuhn close behind; he eventually found a way through on lap eight. Suffering engine issues and a straight-line speed deficit, she fell to P17.

The final lap brought chaos as multiple cars slid into the gravel, including Bedani and Rotta, securing Felipe Bartz the championship title. Tomaselli navigated the incidents cleanly and climbed to 15th at the flag in the treacherous mixed conditions.

With minimal turnaround time, Race 3 faced rapidly worsening weather. Heavy rain eventually delayed the start for more than an hour, but once conditions slightly improved, Tomaselli lined up 15th for the final race of the season. Several cars damaged in Race 2 were unable to start, promoting her to 13th as the field rolled behind the safety car.

Green flags waved on lap two with 21 minutes remaining. On the still-wet and slippery circuit, drivers fought simply to stay on track: Tomaselli dropped to P15 as Garcia and then Rotta overtook, and she later gained a position when cars ahead spun, though Martins rejoined just in front of her.

As the track gradually began to dry, Bruna closed the gap to Kuhn while Martins recovered. A safety car with seven minutes left, triggered when De Valle went off into the gravel, bunched up the field again. Martins was forced to pit with damage, elevating Tomaselli to P11.

When racing resumed for the final four minutes, Bruna joined the fight for the top ten: amid intense duels and several cars running wide, she climbed to P10 with just over a minute to go and began pressuring Bedani. In the closing moments, however, Rotta, Berlanda and Trombini managed to get ahead, dropping her to P13 at the finish - though she was later promoted to P11 after post-race penalties.

Tomaselli narrowly missed another top-ten result, but it was a strong finish to a solid season. She ends her third Stock Light campaign with 184 points and ninth place in the championship standings. Bruna will now look to carry this momentum forward as she continues her climb up the Brazilian motorsport ladder.
