Former F1 Academy racer Carrie Schreiner is set to return to GT3 competitions, as the German joins the ranks of Konrad Motorsport for the remaining rounds of GT Winter Series, aboard a Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

Schreiner moved to sports car racing in 2017 aged 18, and has competed in some of the most prestigious GT championships in Europe, establishing herself as a very versatile driver at the wheel of several GT3 and GT4 cars and brands.

Among her career highlights, she won the Middle-East Cup in 2018, secured a historic podium in Hockenheim in ADAC GT Masters, collected notable results in NLS - including a 24 Hours of Nürburgring class win in 2021 - Italian GT, GTC GT60 by Pirelli and Porsche Sports Cup Endurance.

In 2023, however, Schreiner seized the opportunity to return to formula cars with the creation of the F1 Academy all-female championship - and she did so with ART Grand Prix.

Her adaptation was quick and she was soon competitive, scoring points consistently and winning her first single seater race in Zandvoort. Carrie then moved to Campos Racing for her sophomore campaign, in the KICK Sauber F1 Team-supported entry. The German continued to be a consistent point-scorer, finishing nine times in the top 10, with two sixth-place finishes as personal best in Zandvoort and at the Abu Dhabi finale.

With the two year-limit in F1 Academy preventing her from returning in 2025, Schreiner hinted at a GT3 return, with a full time program yet to be announced.

As preparation for her upcoming GT commitments, Schreiner - who has also been announced as Team Brand Ambassador for KICK Sauber F1 Team from 2025 onwards - is set to contest the final three rounds of the GT Winter Series in Valencia, Aragon and Barcelona.

Schreiner will pilot a Lamborghini Huracan GT3, operated by German team Konrad Motorsport. The highly respected team has already ran Schreiner in 2017, in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe championship.

"I’m curious to see how I will do in the GT Winter Series after my excursion into Formula racing", Schreiner commented. "I knew I wanted to be back in GT3 and this series is a great preparation for my main programme this year!"

The next round of the Gedlich-promoted series is scheduled for 13-16 February in Valencia.
