Building from a positive performance last month at the season-opening Cadwell Park round, Jasmine Shaw showed impressive pace at Croft, finishing twice in the top 10, which included a sixth-place finish in race three.

The weekend began on a high note on Saturday qualifying, as the Cotswolds-born superstar put on a strong performance, setting the seventh-best time in a session, which she briefly led in the opening stages.

In race one, held later that day, Shaw maintained her seventh-place starting position, before moving up to sixth after passing Craig Evans on lap three. However, she was then passed by Henry Speeks at the halfway mark and was sent back to seventh. Shaw then maintained seventh place in the final half of the race, which came to an abrupt end with less than a minute on the clock as both Evans and Scott Helme went off, thus forcing the red flag to be deployed and the race to be called early.

By finishing seventh in race one, Shaw would line up in thta position for Sunday morning's race two, which was held in wet conditions. This time however, Shaw dropped to P12 at the start, but kept her head down as she climbed back up to 10th on lap two, and later passed Alastair Morton for ninth on lap four.

On the following lap, Oliver White and Brian Thornton both spun off course, promoting Shaw up to her starting position as she headed into the second half of the race. Two laps later though, she spun into the grass, falling down to 16th. Despite the setback, the 20-year-old was able to recover to 13th, before the race was red flagged and ended prematurely for Ryan Tholet's crash.

For race three later that day, the Cotswolds-racer had an impressive start from 13th, gaining four positions on the opening lap to place herself ninth despite the treacherous conditions.

Her charge through the field didn't stop there, as Shaw passed Thornton for eighth three laps later, before moving up to seventh on lap 7 by overtaking Steve Lorriman. She then cleared Evans for sixth on the following lap, a position she held as the race was prematurely ended with two minutes left on the clock for Lorriman's crash, sealing a brilliant sixth-place finish for Shaw in the closing race of the weekend.
