After 18 starts in the European Rally Championship between 2016 and 2019, young British lady Catie Munnings will make her WRC debut at Rally Sweden.

Early on she became interested in the sport because of her father, Chris Munnings, who ran the London Rally School at Brands Hatch. She made her European Rally Championship debut in 2016 at the Ypres Rally and, in the same year, she won the European Championship Ladies Trophy at just 18 years old.

Next to her racing career, she is the host of "Catie´s Amazing Machines", a childrens' show on CBeebies, as well as being an ambassador for Susie Wolf´s "Dare To Be Different" campaign, which encourages girls to work in the motorsport industry.

The Junior WRC calendar consists of five rallys in 2020, starting in Sweden in February, and ending with the Germany round in October. Next to Catie, 15 drivers will enter the series; among them is Oscar Solberg, nephew of Petter Solberg, and Jon Armstrong, the 2018 WRC eSports champion.

"Excited to announce I’m entered to compete in the World Rally Championship FIA Junior WRC 2020! The benchmark will be high, but I’m so ready to get back behind the wheel, starting in Rally Sweden."
