Emily Cotty will continue her transition into endurance racing after joining Bretton Racing for the upcoming Asian Le Mans Cup, returning to the Czech-based team following her encouraging LMP3 debut at the Michelin Le Mans Cup season finale in Portimão.

The British-Kiwi driver will compete in the #26 Ligier JS P325 alongside Calan Williams in the LMP3 Pro category, embarking on her first championship campaign in prototype machinery after making her debut in the final round of the Le Mans Cup.

Cotty made her first appearance in LMP3 competition at Portimão earlier this month, joining Bretton Racing as she explored opportunities for the next stage of her career. Having spent two seasons in Formula 4, competing in Italian F4 and the UAE4 Championship earlier in 2026, she brought her single-seater campaign to an early close to evaluate potential programmes for 2027.

After testing a range of Formula and GT machinery, the opportunity to join Bretton Racing provided her first experience of endurance racing. Despite the challenges of adapting to an unfamiliar car and a new format, sharing the car with a teammate for the first time in her career, Cotty immediately showed encouraging speed in the #26 Ligier JS P325.

The Portimão race proved challenging yet highly promising, with multiple penalties interrupting the team's progress. Starting from 20th on the grid, the duo had brought the car in the top-seven, with the British-Kiwi driver maintaining competitive pace during her first race in LMP3 machinery, ultimately bringing the car home 10th in class despite having inherited three drive through penalties from earlier in the race.

The result offered a promising foundation for Cotty. Her debut was followed by another opportunity to gain prototype experience at the ELMS Rookie Test the following day, where she finished fourth fastest in the morning session.

Now returning to Bretton Racing for the Asian Le Mans Cup, Cotty will build on the experience gained during her first weekend with the team. The Czech outfit arrives with an established record in the championship, having won the Asian Le Mans Series LMP3 title in the 2024/25 season. Cotty will share the #26 Ligier JS P325 with Williams as she begins her first campaign in the category.

"Following my debut with Bretton Racing in Portimão, I'm looking forward to working with the team again, building on what we learnt and pushing for stronger results!" Cotty said.

The 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Cup will feature three rounds, beginning at Circuit Paul Ricard in southern France on 13–15 November, before moving to Jerez in Spain on 15–17 January and concluding at Portimão, Portugal, on 19–21 February.
