An all-female line-up is set to join the Italian GT Championship, as MRNC12 team has announced the Ferrari 296 Challenge entry driven by Laura Villars and Federica Levy for the 2026 Sprint series season.
The Italian GT Championship has previously featured all-female crews, one of them last year featuring Levy herself, who made her series debut alongside Emma Segattini and Jenny Sonzogni in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup operated by FAEMS team. Francesca Linossi and Vicky Piria - the latter also competing in Italian GT as her main program since 2022 - also shared a car in the championship.
The announcement of the MRNC12 all-female team further confirms the growing presence of female drivers in the Italian GT paddock.
Laura Villars, 28, from Switzerland, brings international experience gained in approximately sixty races across the Ultimate Cup, F4 UAE, Ferrari Challenge Europe, and the Ligier European Series.
Villars made her debut in single seaters, before moving to GT competitions in 2024, when she entered Ferrari Challenge Europe. Most recently, she contested the Ligier European Series aboard the Team Virage JSP4 prototype.
In addition to her sporting achievements, Villars has also attracted significant media attention for being the first woman in history to run for FIA President role in 2025.
She will be joined by Federica Levy, 21, from Turin, Italy, who inherited her racing passion from her father Andrea, also competing in Ferrari Challenge. Federica made her Italian debut in 2025 and scored a class podium. Her experience also includes participations in the FX Italian Series, and appearances at high-profile events such as Minardi Day.
"We've worked hard to create an all-female team to compete in the prestigious Italian GT Sprint Championship organized by ACI Sport," commented team principal Giammarco Marzialetti. "Our racing ladies will work in full synergy to fully unleash the great potential of the Ferrari 296 Challenge they will have at their disposal."
