Francisca Queiroz is set to return to the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica for the 2026 season, continuing her collaboration with LOB Motorsport as the young Portuguese driver aims to build on her recent success in the competitive one-make championship.
The 19-year-old racer heads into the new campaign as the reigning Female Trophy champion, a title she has secured for the second consecutive year, following a strong 2025 season in which she also finished third overall in the AM class standings. Across the season, Queiroz consistently fought at the front of her category, collecting multiple class podium finishes while competing behind the wheel of the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car.
Her career that has shown steady progression through karting and GT racing: Queiroz’s motorsport journey began in karting, where she competed in the Portuguese Karting Championship in 2020. She continued her development the following year in the Rotax Trophy, finishing as the highest-classified female driver, before racing in the Rotax Portuguese Championship through to 2024.
While continuing her karting career, Queiroz made her transition into circuit racing in 2023 with her debut in Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica. The move marked her first experience in GT machinery, and she quickly adapted to the demands of the powerful rear-engined Porsche Cup car, securing her first class podium finishes.
In 2024, Queiroz broadened her racing experience by making her endurance racing debut in the 24H Series, competing in the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi. She subsequently returned to Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, continuing her development within the championship. The progress became evident during the 2025 season, where she delivered her most competitive campaign to date.
Queiroz amassed 147 points to finish third overall in the AM class standings; her performances also made her the top-ranked female driver in the series, allowing her to secure the Lady Cup title.
For 2026, Queiroz will once again compete with LOB Motorsport, the team with which she raced during the previous season, providing continuity as she targets further progression and stronger results.
The Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica season will feature six rounds across Spain and Portugal, beginning in April at Monteblanco, Spain. The championship will then visit Estoril, Valencia, Jerez, and Navarra before concluding with the season finale back at Estoril later in the year.
