Polish 2019 W Series driver Gosia Rdest announced her racing plans for 2020 after an online live conference: the 27-year old racer will return to GT racing after her F3 interval and will join French-based championship Alpine Elf Europa Cup.

Rdest, who had previously competed in the Audi Sport TT Cup and in the GT4 European championship prior to her W Series experience, will drive the Alpine A110 Cup car in the 4-events revised calendar.

Gosia already made her debut in the series last year, when she first got behind the wheel of the Alpine car at the Paul Ricard circuit in a guest appearance.

The 2020 Alpine Elf Europa Cup was set to feature a 6-rounds calendar, but the series issued a revised plan following the COVID-19 crisis and is now expected to kick-off on 22nd and 23rd August in Nogaro, where pre-season testing will also take place.

In September, the championship will move to the former Formula 1 venue of Magny-Cours and a month later to the current French Grand Prix setting of Le Castellet. All the three French rounds will support the FFSA French GT championship, while the last round will see the Alpine Elf Europa Cup moving to Portugal, supporting the last round of the European Le Mans Series at Portimao.

Similarly to previous racing seasons, Gosia Rdest will combine her participation in international series with entries in local Polish championships.

"I am very happy to finally announce my plans for the 2020 season." - said Gosia.

"Entering in the Alpine Cup will be a new challenge for me. All this is possible thanks to my main partner, BAHCO, whom I thank very much for its trust."

"I know the car as I took part in the last round of the championship last year at circuit Paul Ricard. I expect fierce battles and new trophies to add to the collection. Tracks like Nogaro or Magny-Cours are new to me, but I know Paul Ricard well and also Portimao. I am grateful to the organizers that despite the fact that the calendar has been shortened, the number of 10 races will be kept. I have a few months of preparation ahead in order to be able to go testing and fight for the top positions in August."

The Alpine A110 Cup is a 270hp race car based on the 1.8-litre turbocharged road model. While the Polish driver's car livery wasn't revealed yet, Rdest will be supported by some important brands such as Bahco, Bilstein, Ravenol, Epos, A / B / C, Emka S. A. and Philips.
