The all-female duo of Hannah Greenemeier and Hannah Grisham, sharing the #26 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4, scored a highly positive fourth-place finish at the fifth round of the Pirelli GT4 America season at Road America, in a weekend shortened by rain and lightning delays on Saturday.

Now in their second season as Heart of Racing’s all-female pairing, Grisham and Greenemeier have established themselves as strong Silver class contenders in Pirelli GT4 America. Building on a 2024 campaign that featured multiple podiums and a strong finish after being reclassified into the Silver category, their 2025 season included a solid start at Sonoma, a podium in the Lone Star Enduro at COTA, and two seventh-place finishes at Sebring despite a challenging weekend. Last time out at VIRginia International Raceway, the two Shift Up Now athletes collected a pair of top-ten results in the Silver class.

Heading to Road America, the iconic Wisconsin racetrack, Grisham and Greenemeier were eyeing another strong finish and showcased speed straight away in practice. They placed fourth in the opening session, with a 2:17.724 lap, aiming to carry this good momentum into qualifying.

Hannah Greenemeier took the wheel for Q1 on Saturday morning and set a 2:16.849 — a solid effort that placed the Heart of Racing Aston Martin 12th overall and eighth in Silver class. Hannah Grisham then took over for Q2, immediately showing strong pace with a 2:17.0 lap that put her close to the overall top ten and sixth in class. Grisham continued to improve, lowering her time to a 2:16.550 and retaking eighth in class. She ultimately qualified 11th overall and eighth in Silver.

Race one was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but heavy rain rolled in before the start. Greenemeier was set to take the opening stint in the #26 Aston Martin as the race began under caution with the clock running. However, just half a lap in, lightning in the area forced the race to be red-flagged. It was not resumed, with officials later announcing that it would be rescheduled at a later date.

“Between Thursday and Friday’s practice sessions, we were able to get the car in a good spot for qualifying Saturday morning,” said Grisham. “Unfortunately, Saturday’s race was cancelled because of a storm coming through.”

On Sunday, it was Grisham who took the start for race two, this time in dry conditions. The green flag waved for the 25-car field, with some cars checking up towards the back, but the pack made it through cleanly.

Grisham made a good start and fought inside the overall top ten, but was boxed in at Turn 5 and slipped back to P13 overall, ninth in class, as Anderson’s AutoTechnic BMW found a way past. Settling into a good rhythm, Grisham kept up with the Silver class field and traded positions with the #94 Random Vandals BMW of Green, while closing in on Anderson once Green passed the #52 BMW. She maintained ninth in class through her stint.

As the pit window opened around halfway, Grisham handed over to Greenemeier on lap 12, rejoining ninth in class and P13 overall. Right at that moment, Pro-Am championship leader Josh Green came to a halt after contact, triggering a full-course yellow just as most of the field dove into the pits anticipating the caution.

Greenemeier emerged in P13 overall, ninth in class, but quickly worked her way forward once racing resumed. She climbed back into the overall top ten and eighth in class as several cars that had stayed out earlier were forced to pit under caution.

With 20 minutes to go, Greenemeier was running competitive lap times in the 2:18s, keeping pace with Garrett’s AutoTechnic BMW. Another caution was brought out with 16 minutes left after Marc Miller’s Dome Motorsports Mercedes went off heavily.

The race resumed with just 8 minutes to go, and Greenemeier immediately gained a spot by passing Garrett to move into seventh in Silver. Chaos then erupted at the front when leaders Ellis and Webb collided at the exit of Turn 5, scattering cars through Turn 6. Greenemeier executed a brilliant avoidance, climbing to fifth overall and fourth in class before the race was neutralized again.

The race ended under caution, with the all-female Heart of Racing team capitalizing on the late drama to secure a strong fourth place in Silver class and fifth overall at Road America, their second-best finish of the season to date, the best overall.

“Sunday, Hannah had a great stint, and we were able to come away with our first top-five finish overall and fourth place in class,” said Grisham. “Thank you to the team for bringing a great car. We will see what we can take from this weekend and apply it to Barber in a few weeks.”

“I think we had a pretty good weekend considering the storms,” added Greenemeier. “We were able to show some great pace and made some good developments throughout the weekend. Race one was unfortunate because of the rain; we look forward to making it up later on. Race two was a bit chaotic, but we made it through. Thank you to the team for a great effort this weekend.”

The next round will take place at Barber Motorsports Park, on September 5–7, for the sixth and penultimate race meeting of the Pirelli GT4 America season.
