Fox Motorsport driver Holly Miall sustained her progress in the Ginetta Junior Championship following a productive weekend at Cadwell Park. Holly experienced both wet and dry conditions at a circuit new to her, achieving a best result of 15th. Following race two, Miall extended her points-scoring streak to 15 races, an achievement which should not be underrated in the premier junior championship in Britain.

The race weekend began on Friday with a number of test sessions in preparation for three races at Cadwell Park. Drivers enjoyed predominantly dry conditions and Holly was able to improve her time throughout the day, with her best lap coming in the third session placing her Fox Motorsport car 14th overall.

Holly was presented with a further challenge on Saturday morning with wet conditions at Cadwell Park. A scheduled warm-up session ahead of qualifying allowed drivers to gain familiarity on the wet track, with Miall setting the 15th fastest time. The Fox Motorsport driver found over a second of lap time in a similarly wet qualifying to line up 15th for the opening two races of the weekend.

Race one also brought wet conditions with Holly looking to get experience and improve on her lap times. The Fox Motorsport driver made an all-important clean start and held 15th after the opening lap. Gaining confidence with every lap, Miall set her personal best time on lap seven and enjoyed a productive second half of the race, making inroads on Fox Motorsport teammate Harry Moss ahead. Holly completed 11 challenging laps without incident to finish 15th and collect more valuable championship points, showing her wet weather skills in the process.

The second race of the weekend was held in predominantly dry conditions with Holly lining up from 15th on the grid. Miall was on the move and immediately jumped to 14th and began working on improving her dry lap times following a day of wet weather running. Steadily making progress, the Fox Motorsport driver built up her confidence and when Preptech UK racer Henry Joslyn found a way past on lap six, Holly slotted in behind and immediately ran her fastest sectors.

On both laps eight and nine, Miall set consecutive personal best lap times and this speed allowed her to take the checkered flag in 15th. This meant Holly extended her points-scoring streak to an impressive 15 races, showing exceptional consistency for a car racing rookie.

Unfortunately Holly was unable to take part in the final race of the weekend, however it was another weekend of progress for the Fox Motorsport driver who gained valuable experience in both wet and dry conditions. Cadwell Park is an extremely technical and demanding circuit and the knowledge gained this weekend will stand Holly in good stead for the remaining rounds.

"A tough weekend in some challenging conditions at times", Miall commented. "But we learn from it and set our focus on preparing for Brands Hatch in September."

The Ginetta Junior Championship drivers will return to action after a short break on the 9th/10th September with a trip to the iconic Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.
