British racer Gracie Mitchell concluded her first full season in the Iberian Supercars championship with a brilliant double podium in the GTX class at Circuito Estoril, securing second in the standings after a season of steady progression behind the wheel of the Tockwith Motorsport Ginetta.

British racer Gracie Mitchell concluded her first full season in the Iberian Supercars championship with a brilliant double podium in the GTX class at Circuito Estoril, reinforcing her steady progression, racecraft, and maturity displayed throughout 2025 behind the wheel of the #128 Tockwith Motorsport Ginetta G55, shared with Luca Staccini.
Mitchell arrived at Estoril with strong momentum after taking a second-place class result and an overall podium at Jerez. Mitchell had made her series debut at the Estoril track at the end of 2024, where she impressively won her class on debut, foreshadowing the competitive season to come.
Throughout practice and qualifying, the Tockwith Motorsport pairing consistently ran near the top three, confirming their potential for another successful weekend.
In Q1 on Saturday, Staccini recorded a 1:43.464 thta placed him fifth in GTX and seventh overall, keeping the #128 car in the competitive zone. Mitchell took over in Q2 and delivered a strong lap in 1:42.866 to claim fourth in class, just one tenth behind second in a remarkably tight top group.

Race 1 was held in sunny but damp conditions following overnight rain. Staccini took the start from fifth in GTX and immediately went on the attack, passing Codet’s Ligier on lap 2 to take fifth, then rapidly closed on Oliveira. When Santos attempted a move on Chiche into Turn 1 and ran deep, Staccini avoided and retained position on lap 3.
With strong pace, Staccini soon cleared both Oliveira and Chiche to move into second in GTX; in clean air, Staccini pulled away with laps in the 1:45.0 range.
The safety car was then deployed on lap 8 when Costa’s #73 Porsche stopped on track. Racing resumed with 26 minutes remaining as the pit window approached.
Staccini stayed out, cycling up to second and continuing to set competitive laps before pitting on lap 15 as Gracie Mitchell rejoined in the #128 Ginetta. When race leader Camelo pitted on the following lap, Mitchell retook third in class and fifth overall.
Gracie then had the task of defending third from the sister Ginetta of Roche, before both were overtaken by Cacoilo’s Chefo Sport Ligier, though Mitchell soon stabilized her position; Mitchell in fact reclaimed third in GTX when Grant received a stop and go penalty, and she maintaining a one-second cushion over Roche.
Simoes held on for victory in Race 1 ahead of Cacoilo and Mitchell, who secured another well-deserved podium.

The final race of the 2025 Iberian Supercars season saw Gracie Mitchell starting fourth. She made a strong getaway to climb into third in class before an early safety car at the end of lap 1.
Racing resumed on lap 3, with Miritta and Teixeira fighting for the overall lead ahead. Mitchell initially defended before retaking third when Simoes suffered a puncture. The top four ran nose-to-tail, covered by little more than a second.
As Cacoilo and Grant battled for the GTX lead, Mitchell closed in and dipped under the 1:44 barrier as she started to apply pressure. On lap 9, Trieux attempted a late lunge on Mitchell into Turn 1 but ran deep, allowing her to retain third.
The pit window opened and Mitchell stayed out one more lap but lost out to Trieux into Turn 1 before stopping and handing over to Staccini. After the stops, Staccini held fourth, reclaiming third when Codet pitted.
The Italian navigated lapped traffic, then he controlled the position and later moved up to second when Santos slowed in the closing minutes. Gracie Mitchell and Luca Staccini took their second podium of the day, finishing P2 in GTX, also securing second place in the 2025 GTX championship standings, in an excellent achievement for Mitchell’s first full campaign.
It was in fact a highly positive season for Gracie, who showed clear progression and growth - her double podium at Estoril a fitting end to a highly encouraging year and a strong foundation for further growth in 2026.
