Christine Sloss continued her strong IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season with another Bronze class victory at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 120, the sixth round of the championship. Sloss, who is competing full-time in her rookie campaign in the series aboard the #15 Van Der Steur Aston Martin, executed a perfect strategy to come out on top of the Bronze entries for the second consecutive time.

Sloss, who raced alongside her husband Ben in previous rounds, teamed up with Glenn McGee for the Canadian round at Mosport. After a solid qualifying effort, she delivered a strong run in the opening stint, executing a flawless fuel-saving strategy that allowed McGee to take over and chase down the RAFA Racing Toyota, which he eventually passed for the class win.

It was Sloss's second class victory in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, following her triumph at Watkins Glen in the previous round. The result extended a streak of Bronze class podiums since the start of the season and propelled Christine to the top of the Bronze class standings.

Following some testing ahead of the weekend, Sloss returned to the cockpit of the #15 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 at the very fast Mosport circuit and immediately showed strong pace in practice. McGee also posted competitive times, placing the car 17th overall and second in the Bronze class in the opening practice. The duo made further progress in the second session, clocking a 1:24.061 that placed them 16th overall and first among the Bronze entries.

Sloss was back behind the wheel for qualifying duties and delivered a solid performance, placing the #15 Aston Martin 18th in the GS field and second in the Bronze Cup category, once again setting the stage for another strong race result.

When the green flag dropped on Saturday afternoon, Sloss took the start and held second in class through the early stages, while the #64 Team TGM Porsche of Ted Giovanis — who had started from the pit lane — remained around 30 seconds behind before receiving a drive-through penalty that dropped him further back.

Sloss steadily improved her pace, dipping under the 1:30 mark before clocking consistent laps in the 1:28s and eventually a best of 1:27.4, maintaining 18th overall and second in class behind the #12 RAFA Racing Toyota, which had opted to start with its pro driver, Jonsin.

As the GS class pit window opened, Sloss stayed out and extended her stint with an impressively disciplined fuel-saving run. She eventually pitted on lap 42 with 56 minutes remaining, handing over the car to McGee from the class lead. Rejoining second in class and approximately 30 seconds behind the Toyota of Rafa Martinez, McGee began to close the gap aggressively. By lap 54, he had caught and passed the #12 Toyota, seizing the Bronze Cup lead with a stellar drive.

Just moments later, a major multi-car crash triggered a lengthy full course caution. The incident began when the #52 Baker Racing Audi of Vance tangled with the #33 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai of Wilkins at the high-speed Turn 7, collecting the #95 BMW of Selldorff and the Rebel Rock Aston Martin driven by Robert Liddell in the process. One of the cars nearly vaulted the barrier, and the resulting debris field and heavy damage to multiple armco barriers required an extended cleanup.

Crucially, McGee had just completed the pass for the class lead before the caution came out. The race resumed with 16 minutes to go, though chaos erupted at the restart with several cars involved in spins and minor contacts. McGee survived the restart cleanly and maintained his position at the front of the Bronze Cup field.

At the checkered flag, McGee and Sloss brought the #15 Aston Martin home in 15th overall and first in class, earning Christine's second Bronze Cup victory of the season. Sloss’s composed, fuel-efficient opening stint laid the foundations for the win, while McGee’s rapid pace and timely overtake sealed the result.

With two class victories, six podium finishes, and a pair of runner-up results from the opening six rounds, Christine Sloss now leads the GS Bronze standings with 1940 points, holding a 10-point advantage over Hugh Plumb and Ted Giovanis.

She will look to carry that momentum into the next round at the legendary Road America on August 1–2.
