Iron Dames announce 2023 programs and Lamborghini partnership

Iron Dames welcome a new era: the groundbreaking project enters its fifth season with a new partnership with Lamborghini, as the all-female sports car team will enter GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup in 2023.

Officially launched in 2019, the Iron Dames project entered the European Le Mans Series with Ferrari, with a line up destined to write incredible chapters of motorsport history.

Four 24 Hours of Le Mans in the top ten, a class victory at the 24 hours of Spa - at their first entry - pole positions in WEC and ELMS, as well as a historic first win for a female crew in ELMS: Iron Dames have taken the world of sports cars by storm and proved how women driven by dreams can go beyond their limits and reach any goal.

European Le Mans Series, Michelin Le Mans Cup, Italian Formula 4, German G4, FIA WEC, Ferrari Challenge, Italian GT, GT World Challenge: Iron Dames' pink race cars became synonyms of hard work, perseverance and performance.

New challenges now lie ahead, as the project is set to embark on a new adventure with support from a new brand, Lamborghini. Iron Dames will in fact race the new Huracan GT3 EVO2 in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and, for the first time, in the North America's top sports car series IMSA, where they will race the Michelin Endurance Cup - starting from one of the most iconic races in the world: the 24 Hours of Daytona, in January 2023.

In another anticipated move, Iron Lynx will therefore become the manufacturer team for the Lamborghini brand, ahead of the 2024 debut of the LMDh prototype, which will be run by Iron Lynx and Prema Engineering - both part of DC Racing Solutions Ltd, chaired by Deborah Mayer.

“I am really pleased that we can share the news about the partnership between Iron Lynx and Lamborghini, which marks a significant milestone for our group" - said Mayer, founder of the Iron Dames project.

"Our championship-winning racing pedigree, combined with the successful motorsport heritage of Lamborghini, will create the perfect mix to deliver a highly-competitive performance on track. I am looking forward to this next chapter.”

Iron Lynx is set to enter the FIA WEC and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2024 supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, while further plans for the all-female Iron Dames squad - specifically related to a potential entry in WEC - were not yet disclosed.

For the first time, Iron Dames will also expand to a North American program: the Michelin Endurance Cup includes the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Six Hours of The Glen and the Motul Petit Le Mans.

In Europe, GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup features five rounds, starting from Monza, the 1000km of Paul Ricard, the Crowdstrike 24H of Spa, Nürburgring and Barcelona.
