In the fourth round of the Caterham 270R Championship, Jasmine Shaw maintained her early season momentum to fight at the front in all three races and score valuable points by finishing in the top 10 in all three races, as she aims to end the year on a high.

Building from her strong performance at Spa last time out, Cotswolds-born superstar Jasmine Shaw continued her to impress in the fourth round of the Caterham 270R Championship at Donington Park, finishing in the top 10 in all three races, in which she was a constant presence at the front of the field.
Rather unusually, qualifying and the three races were all held on Saturday in the BARC-organized Seven Heaven round, reserved for one-make series using the Caterham Seven. Three weeks after her impressive fourth in Spa's sole qualifying session, Shaw qualified eighth on Saturday morning for the first of three races at Donington Park.
From eighth on the grid for race one, Shaw initially slipped to 10th at the start, but returned back to her starting position on the following lap after passing Henry Speeks and Andrew Davison. Her rise through the field continued on lap three, as she moved up to seventh, before overtaking Craig Evans for sixth on lap four. Over the next half of the race, Shaw got as high as fifth on lap 11, before once again slipping back to eighth. In the closing stages, the 20-year-old clawed her way back up to sixth and finished there to kick off the weekend.
In race two, Shaw had a superb start from sixth, getting up to fourth place, but fell to ninth by the end of the opening lap and 11th on lap three. However, Shaw kept a cool head as she navigated her way back up to eighth with five minutes left on the clock, before moving herself to sixth with two laps to go and crossing the line in said position to continue her strong weekend.
In the final race of the weekend, Shaw once again made a brilliant start to position herself in fifth in the opening stages of the race as she exchanged positions with Brian Thornton. After swapping positions many times with Luciano Caruso, Shaw finally took fourth from him on lap eight, but after losing sight of the front pack of cars, the Cotswolds driver slipped to seventh by the checkered flag.
Looking back on the weekend, Shaw said: "We performed well in the races after a chaotic qualifying of mixed conditions, showing front running speed and great racecraft battling up to P4 in multiple races. Happy we could show our pace on such a big grid of 28 cars."
