Returning to the Caterham 270R Championship and DPR Motorsport for a second season, 20-year-old Jasmine Shaw began her 2026 campaign with a hard-fought top ten finish at Cadwell Park in damp conditions in race three.

Following a promising rookie campaign in the one-make Caterham 270R Championship, which yielded six top ten finishes and a 12th-place points finish, Costwolds-born Jamine Shaw returned to DPR Motorsport for her second season in the series.
Starting the eight-round season at Cadwell Park, Shaw picked up where she left off, running near the top 10 all weekend and securing a strong ninth-place finish in race three as she heads into Croft 12th in the overall standings.
The weekend began on Saturday with the only qualifying session of the weekend, held in wet conditions. All 26 drivers entered for the weekend took to the track from the start of the session, and as the track progressively got drier in the 30-minute session, Shaw posted a 1:57.064 on her final flying lap, which put her 14th-best time on the grid for race one, held later that day.
The opening race of the weekend was straight-foward for Shaw, who kept her cool and remained in her starting position for most of the race, until the halfway mark, when she was promoted to 13th after Aaron Oliver crashed while going up the mountain, thus forcing the safety car to be deployed. Racing resumed with two laps to go, in which Shaw passed Steve Lorriman to take 12th, a position she kept as the checkered flag waved at the end of the race.
For Sunday morning's race two, Shaw started 12th, but had a difficult start to the race, losing a place on the opening lap, before dropping to 18th on the following lap after contact with another driver. However, the Cotswolds-born driver kept her head down and gradually made her way up the order despite the track's limited overtaking opportunities to cross the line in 12th for the second race in a row.
Later that day, the final race of the weekend took place, in which Shaw once again started from 12th on the grid. Despite rain hitting the track before the race and adding a further challenge to the drivers, Shaw kept her cool to gain three positions on the opening lap, before bravely holding off five cars through the rest of the 20-minute race to secure a brilliant ninth-place finish.
Shaw's promising start to the season sees her 12th in the standings ahead of the second round of the season, which will take place at the Croft Circuit on 2-3 May, the track that kickstarted her promising string of results last year.
