Julia Landauer had unfinished business in NASCAR Xfinity Series and finally, she announced her comeback for the October 22 round at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Landauer - two-time champion in stock cars with a background in single-seaters - will return behind the wheel of the Alpha Prime Racing Chevy Camaro after making her series debut last 16th July, when she raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. “I’m really happy we were able to put together another race with Alpha Prime Racing this year,” said Landauer. “Although New Hampshire didn’t go the way we had hoped, I learned a lot, had fun in the car, and I can’t wait to get on a bigger racetrack.” In her biggest race to date, Landauer was crashed out early from the race and couldn't show her potential after impressing in qualifying. Her second chance comes with support sponsorship from Pippa Mann's led organization Shift Up Now, a fast growing collective of female drivers that is becoming a reference for women in the sport in North America. Having explored the world of Web3 and blockchain, Landauer became the first NASCAR driver sponsored by NFT communities and will again carry support from companies involved in that industry, such as OnChainMonkey, and House of First’s Remarkable Women NFT. "The whole community is excited to share the journey along your side, whether it's in the pits, the crowd, or from afar, we are rooting for you Julia!" Said Jeff McDonald, Founder of ATEM Car Club, a Web3 community reaching towards the future of the industry. "We are proud to support Julia Landauer in her race - she is a champion and visionary in racecar driving as well as Web3," added Amanda Terry, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of NFT collection OnChainMonkey. “As an NFT project dedicated to supporting and uplifting women in the Web3 space and beyond, we are so excited to be able to support Julia and her team at the NASCAR Xfinity Race,” said Kayla Schoerie, Director of Marketing at House of First. “She continues to be an inspiration to so many and an amazing member of our House of First community. We are grateful for her continued support as an Official Remarkable Women NFT project Ambassador since our launch.” Landauer is also a very active public speaker and advocate for women in STEM and gained nationwide popularity when she was a contestant in the CBS reality TV show Survivor in 2012-2013. She was the Skip Barber Racing Series first female champion at 14, before becoming a leading contender in the 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. A NASCAR Next graduate, Landauer competed in Canada in the Pinty's series and in the European-division EuroNASCAR, where she was the best-ever placed American. The Contender Boats 300 event at Homestead-Miami will be her second race in NASCAR's second-tier national championship, as she targets a full-time seat in 2023. On track action starts on October 21, with the 30-minute practice session, followed by single-lap qualifying. The race will start at 4:30pm ET on Sunday October 22.
