Kaká Magno continued her steady progression in the Stock Light Championship with another composed and mistake-free weekend at Velo Città, securing three consistent finishes, including a best 11th place in the final race, as the Brazilian reached the 60 race starts in the country's premier touring car feeder series.

After an encouraging start to her first season with W2 Racing ProGP, Magno arrived at the fourth round of the championship looking to continue the momentum she had built over the opening half of the campaign.

The Brazilian, once again the only woman on the Stock Light grid, had opened the season at Interlagos by securing a personal-best 13th-place finish despite suffering early setbacks. She followed that with a competitive weekend at Goiânia, where three clean and consistent drives earned her first top-ten finish of the season, before adding further valuable mileage at Cuiabá with 13th- and 14th-place finishes.

In the top feeder series for Brazil's most competitive touring car championships Stock Car, Magno has developed a reputation for disciplined, intelligent racecraft, frequently climbing through the order by avoiding trouble while capitalizing on opportunities ahead - and at Velo Città, she geared up to take her 60th race start in the championship.

The technical and undulating Velo Città circuit therefore represented another important opportunity to continue reducing the gap to the more front-runners.

Saturday's opening race began on a damp circuit, adding another challenge to the weekend. Magno lined up 14th on the grid and made a cautious getaway when the lights went out. Although she briefly dropped to 16th through the opening corners, she immediately began recovering positions as the race settled into rhythm.

Several rivals encountered difficulties during the opening laps, including Sangalli, Filho and Nienkotter, allowing Magno to climb into 13th position while keeping herself clear of trouble.

Showing excellent awareness, the Brazilian successfully avoided a spinning car while another competitor ran wide into the grass, threading her way safely through the incident without losing momentum.

Once clear, Magno settled into a consistent run. Gradually improving her pace into the 1:37.9 range, she established a comfortable margin of around ten seconds over the chasing Gomes while maintaining good rhythm throughout the middle phase of the race.

As Nienkotter recovered from earlier issues and rapidly closed the gap, pressure inevitably mounted; the recovering driver eventually completed the pass on lap ten, dropping Magno back to 14th. However, she continued focusing on consistency, maintaining solid 1:38 pace while comfortably gaining from the cars behind.

A late spin for Berlanda briefly created another opportunity, but the rival managed to recover before Magno could capitalize.

The Brazilian ultimately crossed the finish line in 14th place after another clean and incident-free race, without a single Safety Car interruption.

Sunday brought two further opportunities to build on Saturday's encouraging performance. Starting once again from 14th position for the second 20-minute contest of the weekend, Magno made another measured launch, carefully avoiding the congestion into Turn 1 before settling into 16th place.

Remaining patient during the opening laps, she overtook Gomes on lap two to move into 15th before steadily increasing her pace. Running initially in the 1:39s, Magno soon lowered her lap times into the 1:38.4 range, continuing to improve despite the group ahead beginning to edge away.

As Sangalli and Fahs battled intensely further up the order, another opportunity soon presented itself.

Nienkotter then suffered mechanical problems and came to a halt, triggering the race's first Safety Car period. The neutralization elevated Magno back into 14th position.

When racing resumed on lap eight with only six minutes remaining, she executed another composed restart, maintaining position. Moments later, Gomes spun, further increasing Magno's cushion to the cars behind.

Producing another series of consistent 1:38.4 laps during the closing stages, the Brazilian comfortably secured another 14th-place finish, then promoted to P13, once again completing a clean race in extreme heat conditions.

Following only a brief pause, the field immediately prepared for the final race of the weekend.

Magno herself then encountered unexpected difficulties, as overheating issues delayed her car.

Although scheduled to start from 14th position, the team worked promptly to fix the issue - and the Brazilian could eventually take the start from the pitlane, albeit three laps down.

Magno and the W2 Racing ProGP team went out maximizing valuable track time despite the issue - and the decision quickly proved worthwhile.

Freed from traffic, Magno steadily improved her pace throughout the race, consistently lowering her lap times before eventually recording her best lap with a 1:38.1.

As further attrition affected the field, opportunities began to emerge. Incidents for both Bortoluzzi and Berlanda elevated her into 13th position, while Sangalli later encountered problems and returned to the pits.

Magno successfully recovered the remaining deficit to overhaul Sangalli on lap 12 with only two laps remaining, climbing into 12th place. She maintained that position to the chequered flag, and was then promoted to eleventh to secure her best finish of the weekend.

Three clean races, continually improving lap times and a weekend-best 11th-place finish represented another encouraging step forward.

The Stock Light Championship now heads to the Autódromo Internacional de Chapecó, in Santa Catarina, on 4-6 September for the fifth round of the season, where Magno will aim to continue her steady trajectory and challenge for another strong points-paying finish.
