Klara Andersson returns to WRX with ce Dealer Team for 2024 campaign

Rallycross star Klara Andersson will be back in the WRX Championship with CE Dealer Team for the third year in a row; after a calendar cut short last year, the young Swede aims to continue her success at the top of world's rallycross.

CE Dealer Team joined the World Rallycross Championship in 2022 with Niclas Grönholm and Klara Andersson and will continue with an unchanged line-up for the upcoming season.

“I’m honoured to be confirmed as an official driver again with CE Dealer Team by Volvo Construction Equipment and thrilled to be part of a team that aims for excellence in rallycross", Andersoon said. "With our eyes fixed on the Teams’ championship, we are determined to bring our best to every race and lead the team to victory."

Andersson made global headlines in 2021, after the 21-year-old became Swedish Rallycross Champion in the 2150 category. In a country that has historically produced some of the best rallycross talents, Andersson rose to the top and established herself as the next big thing in the sport and made her debut in RX2e shortly after.

A member of the Swedish Junior National Team of Motorsport - a programme aimed at supporting the most promising national talents - Klara Andersson is only at her fourth season in motor racing, having faced a several year hiatus after an important karting career. In 2020, she was runner-up in the Junior Swedish Rallycross Championship before taking the crown in the main class in 2021 - and now aims higher and higher.

In the top-electric rallycross series, Andersson impressed right away, finishing fourth at Spa Francorchamps at her first appearance in the finals. But she wanted more and wrote another chapter of WRX history, becoming the first ever woman to stand on the podium in Portugal 2022.

At the same time, Andersson also made her first entry in the all-electric Extreme E series, where she stunned everyone with two podiums and a win in just two appearances in 2022, in the ABT Cupra team. She was back in 2023 for a full season behind the wheel of the Odyssey21 SUV operated again by ABT Cupra, claiming again two podiums despite encountering more bad luck. For 2024, Andersson has switched to the new SUN Minimeal team.

At the same time, the young Swede aims to continue her success in the World Rallycross Championship and is ready to tackle the new season with her teammate Niclas Grönholm, again under the banner of CE Dealer Team. The season follows a disrupted 2023, but finally action is set to start in July at Höljes/Sweden.

"I’m incredibly excited to start my third season in the FIA World Rallycross Championship.", Klara continued. "This year is going to be really interesting with the ‘Battle of Technologies’, and it will be super-cool to have the finale ‘Down Under’ in Australia! Together, we’re ready to tackle the challenges ahead and make our mark both on and off-track, so let’s make this year special!”
