Lola Lovinfosse joins GRS for second Spanish F4 campaign

Lola Lovinfosse, 16, moves to GRS Team for the upcoming Spanish F4 Championship, in her second season in single-seaters.

16-year-old up-and-coming talent Lola Lovinfosse announced she will take part in her second Spanish Formula 4 campaign in 2022, having joined GRS Team (Global Racing Service) for the upcoming season.

Lovinfosse, one of the most exciting female talents in international karting prior to her single-seater debut in 2021, had raced in the European and World karting championships, as well as the WSK series, in both the OKJ and OK categories.

The young Frenchwoman was part of the first FIA Girls On Track - Rising Stars selections, shortlisted as one of the most promising female drivers. She would join Drivex School for her first season in formula cars, in the very competitive Spanish F4.

The championship had in fact seen its grid massively increase over the previous years, with 34 drivers taking the start of at least one round. At her second race event in the series, Lovinfosse secured her first top-20 result and had her best finish of the season with a P13 in Portimao, close to her first overall point-scoring result.

Lola has also claimed 13 wins in the Spanish F4 Female Trophy and was 10th among the rookies' class in Algarve.

Towards the end of the year, she tested with GRS Team, before now being officially confirmed as the fourth team member: she will join Vladislav Ryabov, Lukáš Málek and Ricardo Gracia.

Lola was also part of the first W Series selection test held at Inde Motorsports Ranch, Arizona, in February, where she drove the US-spec F4 car.

On 23-24 March, she will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the new Tatuus

T-021 car, as the series moves to the new generation of Halo-equipped F4 cars. The first collective test is set to be held in Spa Francorchamps.

Lola Lovinfosse is also coached by Argentinian racing driver Facundo Regalia, who has worked with racers of the likes of Sophia Floersch and Nerea Marti.

The 2022 season will get underway on April 29 - May 1 at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal, the first of seven race meetings.
