Madeline Stewart secured two point-scoring finishes at Road America in the fifth round of the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season, in her most productive weekend of the year to date, with two P13 finishes in the Pro class.

The JDX Racing driver had a tricky start to the season but began to turn things around at Montreal, where she took a step forward in performance and narrowly missed out on her first Pro-class top ten of the year. Building on that positive run in Canada, Stewart completed two clean races at Watkins Glen, where the Kiwi racer showed further progress and achieved a best of 16th overall and 15th in the Pro class.

Heading to Road America—a tricky and fast circuit where she scored a career-best seventh place last year—Madeline was aiming for another solid weekend to add to her points tally.

She set a 2:12.092 lap in opening practice to go 16th fastest among the Pro entries, then made noticeable improvements in the second session with a 2:10.236 ahead of qualifying on Friday.

In qualifying, Madeline Stewart’s first timed lap of 2:10.4 placed her 15th in the Pro class. She then improved to a 2:09.8, moving up to 14th. Continuing to find pace, Stewart posted a 2:09.462, which momentarily put her 15th in Pro as others also improved late in the session. On her final run, she shaved off more time with a 2:09.298, securing 14th in the Pro class and 16th overall for Race 1. She would start 14th overall for Race 2.

Madeline Stewart started P14 in class on Saturday morning for the first 40-minute race.

In a busy field with close battles throughout, Stewart completed the first lap in 15th in the Pro class and 17th overall, keeping it clean amid the tight pack.

Chaos then unfolded ahead when Leist was collected by De Quesada in a three-wide battle on lap two at Turn 5. Madeline capitalized on the incident, advancing to P14 in Pro. She held position behind JP Martinez, the ProAm leader, and just a couple of seconds behind her Pro rival Michael McCann.

Despite Alex Pratt coming to a halt later in the race, he was able to rejoin without triggering a caution, and the race stayed green. The field settled into rhythm. Stewart ran consistent lap times close to Martinez’s and gained one more position when Alexander Reimann hit trouble and had to pit with a rear suspension issue, promoting Madeline to P13 in the Pro class.

Running stronger lap times in the closing stages, Stewart crossed the finish line P13 in class and 14th overall. It was a relatively uneventful but clean and composed race that earned her more valuable points with increasingly strong pace.

Stewart lined up from P14 overall for Race 2 on Sunday afternoon. The race was quickly neutralized when the ProAm car of Todd Parriott was tagged into a heavy crash at Turn 5, bringing out an early caution. At the time of the full-course yellow, Stewart was running 16th overall and held her position in P14 in the Pro class.

Racing resumed with 28 minutes to go. Stewart had the ProAm car of Metni ahead, with an 11-second gap to Reimann—the closest Pro-class rival. On lap 7, she set her personal best and overtook Metni, continuing to improve with best sector times.

Running steadily in the 2:11.1 range, Stewart maintained a safe margin ahead and behind. With just over three minutes to go, Sabré Cook was tagged and went off at Turn 1, bringing out another caution.

Madeline used the opportunity to close the gap to the pack and was classified 14th overall and 13th in the Pro class by the time the race ended under caution.

She took the chequered flag in P13 in class for the second time in the weekend, collecting more valuable points.

It was a solid weekend for Madeline Stewart, who scored in both races and collected her highest points haul of the season so far. She now has 8 points on the tally.

The next race meeting will take place at another iconic venue—Indianapolis Motor Speedway—on September 19–21, after the summer break.
