Mariam Davitidze is set to take a major step on the international motorsport stage in 2026, as the Georgian racer joins Kolkhi GRT for her debut season in the NASCAR Euro Series, where she will contest the OPEN division and target success in the Lady Trophy.

The 21-year-old will share the newly entered #8 Kolkhi GRT car with fellow Georgian Davit Kajaia, who returns to the championship’s PRO division with ambitions of fighting at the front. While Kajaia resumes his push for top honors among the series’ elite, Davitidze will embark on her first full season in NASCAR racing, marking a milestone for the Caucasian country, as she becomes the first Georgian woman to compete in NASCAR competitions.

Kolkhi GRT’s entry brings a fresh presence to the grid: flying the Georgian flag, the team has made clear its intent to compete at a high level while showcasing emerging talent from the country. For Davitidze, the opportunity represents the biggest challenge of her career so far, as she transitions from national competitions to a full international campaign.

Davitidze arrives in EuroNASCAR with an already diverse racing background. A first-generation driver, she began her career in karting and quickly established herself as one of Georgia’s top young talents. She claimed the BTM Open Cup titles in 2021/2022, before gaining international exposure in Germany, where she competed in the KTWB Championship on senior karts, gaining valuable experience.

In 2023, she took on the new challenge of auto slalom and immediately secured the national championship title in Georgia. She has also represented her country on the world stage, competing in the Karting Endurance category at the FIA Motorsport Games in both Le Castellet and Valencia editions in 2022 and 2024. In 2025, she further broadened her résumé with an appearance in the Georgian Circuit Championship in touring cars, continuing to build racecraft across different machinery.

Now, she faces her most ambitious challenge yet: the move to NASCAR Euro Series OPEN places Davitidze directly into the spotlight, particularly in the battle for the Lady Trophy, where she is expected to go head-to-head with established names, including reigning 2025 class champion Vanessa Neumann. Despite being a rookie at this level, Davitidze is targeting a learning-yet-competitive season.

"I hereby confirm my participation in the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season," said Davitidze. "I am a 21-year-old female driver and the number one female racer from Georgia. I am very happy and proud to represent my country and the Kolkhi GRT team, and I look forward to competing with passion and the clear goal of winning. I am thrilled to be the first female from my country to take part in such a big championship, and I am eager to win the Lady Trophy."

Kolkhi GRT is a team founded with the explicit aim of bringing Georgian motorsport onto the European stage. Team representative Erekle Nasidze stressed the broader significance of the project: "Today marks the opening of a new chapter not just for our team, but for Georgian sport."

"Kolkhi GRT was born from a desire to show the world that Georgian motorsport has the talent, the engineering, and the heart to compete with the best in Europe. We are entering the NASCAR Euro Series with a clear purpose: to contend for podiums and to inspire the next generation of drivers back home. The engines are fired, the team is ready, and we are honored to carry the Georgian flag at circuits across the continent. This is only the beginning."

As a business and management student alongside her racing career, Davitidze combines ambition on and off the track; she now prepares to adapt to the unique demands of stock car racing, building on her karting experience.

The 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season will get underway on April 18-19 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, where Davitidze will begin her rookie campaign in EuroNASCAR, writing a new chapter in Georgian motorsport history as the first woman from her country to compete in NASCAR competitions.
