JRW Motorsport teammates Morgan Kidd and Maggie Webster overcame adversity in the latest round of the AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship at Silverstone to end the event on a high. After an unfortunate incident eliminated both drivers in race one, Kidd and Webster bounced back across the two races held on Sunday.
Kidd started race two from 15th position and moved through to finish in ninth, before a superb drive in race three saw her equal her season’s best result of fourth. Webster, meanwhile, fought overheating issues in race two before an excellent charge through the field in the latter half of race three saw the young driver finish in third place within the Am class.
Both Kidd and Webster enjoyed a strong meeting at Snetterton as they battled changeable conditions in Norfolk. Kidd finished all three races inside the overall top-7 and banked valuable experience by starting on pole position in race three. She confidently battled with more experienced drivers and after a challenging start to the season, Morgan was the fifth-highest points scorer in round four of the championship.
Webster maintained her 100% finishing record across her 2025 campaign and as a result, she arrived at Silverstone in tenth position within the overall championship, third among the Am class drivers. Maggie returned to the Am class podium with a strong drive in race three and she was now targeting a breakthrough victory at what has been a successful circuit in the past.
Racing in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship in 2024, Webster narrowly missed out on a MK6 class victory on the National layout while confidently battling amongst the midfield runners. Kidd meanwhile, finished all six races at Silverstone inside the overall top-8 last season while scoring a best finish of seventh on the National circuit. Statistically, Silverstone has been Morgan’s best circuit during her AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship career to date and therefore she was aiming high ahead of the weekend.
Qualifying took place on Saturday morning with both drivers looking to continue their momentum from Snetterton. It was a strong session for both drivers as Kidd quickly jumped inside the overall top-5. At the end of the session, the JRW Motorsport driver had set the seventh fastest time overall, sixth within the Pro class, with a best lap of a 1:05.860.
Webster, meanwhile, was consistently challenging at the head of the Am class and spent the majority of the session in second position, while holding down a top-10 position. As a number of her rivals improved in the closing stages, Maggie ended qualifying in 13th place overall, fourth within the Am class, while she was just two tenths of a second away from second position in class.

The first race of the weekend was held on Saturday afternoon with Kidd start from seventh overall and Webster from 13th on the grid. It was a challenging start for Morgan who received contact at Copse and then both drivers had to avoid Luke Warr who slid across the road on the exit of the corner.
As the drivers approached Maggotts, Kidd was spun by Marco Ricci and as a result, Webster collected Morgan’s machine with damage sustained to both cars. Both Kidd and Webster were unable to continue and the race was subsequently red flagged. With just the single race taking place on Saturday, the JRW Motorsport team were hard at work to fix the damaged cars.
Following superb work from the team, both Kidd and Webster took their place on the grid for race two on Sunday morning. The grid positions were based on the results of race one and following a number of penalties for drivers ahead, this meant that Kidd started from 15th overall, tenth in the Pro class, while Webster lined up from 17th overall, seventh in the Am class.
As the lights went out, Webster got a superb initial launch and overtook Kidd as the drivers entered Copse. Both drivers then did a superb job to avoid the slowing car of Gary Miller who, after falling to the rear of the field, was able to get back up to racing speed. At the end of lap one, Webster was up to 13th overall, fifth in class, while Kidd was in 14th overall, ninth in her respective class.
On lap two, both drivers gained a position after Harry Hayes lost momentum and he was overtaken by a number of cars. This promoted Webster to fourth within the Am class, before Miller began his recovery drive and applied pressure to the JRW Motorsport teammates. After Miller moved ahead of both female drivers, James Pope was able to follow him past Kidd with Morgan now in 15th position overall, 11th in the Pro class.

The racing in the midfield remained extremely competitive with the positions changing with each passing lap. Kidd has lost a little momentum after being overtaken by two of her Pro class racers and this allowed Luke Warr to also make a move on lap five. Nonetheless, Morgan fought back and after running side-by-side with her rival, she pulled clear of Warr to regain a spot inside the top-15.
Meanwhile, Webster had just lost out to Pope but she was then able to overtake Graeme Colfer to take 13th position from the Northern Irishman. Kidd was now moving forward and after she passed Colfer, the JRW Motorsport teammates swapped positions with Kidd now in 13th overall, tenth in the Pro class, while Webster was in 14th overall, fourth in the Am class.
Two further overtakes followed for Kidd as she passed class rivals Pope and Sean Reynolds while now being on the fringes of the top-10. On lap 11, Morgan was the second fastest driver on track and this pace allowed her to catch and pass the Am class machine of Daniel Robinson. Webster also overtook Reynolds, while she then battled with both Colfer and Reynolds in the closing stages of the race.
After pulling clear of Reynolds once more, Webster opened out a margin to the group behind while holding down a spot inside the overall top-15. On lap 16, Maggie was the second fastest driver in the Am class and this ensured she took the chequered flag in 15th position overall, while claiming fifth place in the Am class. Kidd crossed the line in tenth overall, eighth in the Pro class, before a track limits penalty applied to Miller promoted the JRW Motorsport driver to ninth overall, seventh in class.

Race three of the weekend took place on Sunday afternoon with Kidd starting from sixth overall, fifth in the Pro class, after a random draw of the top-10 positions. Webster started from her race two finishing position and therefore lined up from 15th overall, fifth in the Am class. Morgan made a superb start from the third row of the grid and immediately moved into fifth, before challenging for fourth into Brooklands.
Kidd ended lap one in fifth overall, fourth in the Pro class, while beginning the second lap side-by-side with Am class leader Daniel Robinson. Kidd was able to pass Robinson, however Simon Horrobin made his way through with Morgan therefore remaining in fifth position.
Webster’s start was also strong as she gained a single position on lap one as Maggie aimed for a position inside the top-10. On lap two, she was forced to avoid an incident into Becketts and as a result, this dropped her to 18th overall, seventh in the Am class. At the head of the field, the top-12 drivers began to break clear and Kidd was ensuring she was in a strong position to contend for a maiden podium result.
On lap five, a technical issue for David Nye moved Kidd into fourth and she then shaped for a move on Joseph Knight into Copse. Webster also benefited from Nye’s misfortune and after Gary Miller also slowed, she had cleared two of the Pro class machines ahead of her. Webster then battled with both Harry Hayes and Chris Blackburn with the JRW Motorsport machine passing Hayes for 16th overall, seventh in the Am class, on lap eight.
Webster then began a superb charge up the order where she was regularly one of the quickest cars in the Am class. On lap nine, she overtook Matt Chambers and after Pro class runner Connor Blackburn retired with a technical issue, Maggie was into 14th overall, sixth in class. She cracked the top-5 on lap 11 after Daniel Robinson pitted with an issue and Marco Ricci was now the driver ahead.
Webster completed a nice move on Ricci for fourth in class and quickly followed this up with a pass on Christopher Blackburn for 11th overall, third in the Am class. Kidd was still battling at the head of the field and although George Foxlow was able to pass Morgan on lap nine, an issue for Connor Blackburn ensured she remained in podium contention. As Blackburn slowed on lap 10, Kidd ran three-wide into Brooklands with Foxlow and Kellett before she settled into fourth position behind championship leader Kellett.

On lap 13, Kidd set a personal best time and she was now extending the margin to fifth placed driver Knight behind. Her speed was both fast and consistent as she kept the podium runners in sight as both Foxlow and Kellett caught race leader Simon Horrobin in the closing stages. On the penultimate lap, Kidd was the fastest driver on track and this allowed her to take the chequered flag in fourth position, matching her season’s best result in the process.
After Webster cleared Blackburn for a spot on the Am class podium, her pace was superb and she was able to open up a comfortable margin behind. Despite a series of setbacks throughout the event, Webster crossed the line in 11th position overall, third in the Am class to complete an excellent drive to conclude the weekend.
Both Kidd and Webster displayed great tenacity to end the event on a high. Kidd confidently raced at the head of the field in race three to continue her strong form at Silverstone despite her unfortunate race one incident. Webster showed excellent racecraft to move through from the rear of the field in race three as she moves closer to her maiden Am class victory.
Both drivers will now be looking ahead to the next round of the AIRTEC Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship which takes place at Donington Park on the weekend of 13th/14th September.
