Dutch driver Nina Pothof signed with Fortec Motorsport for her first season in British F4 in 2024. The 20 year old driver - regarded as one of the most exciting karting talents - had raced mainly in touring cars and GT racing in one-off appearances and now moves into single-seater racing after testing F4 machinery with several teams. She is now the third driver announced for the upcoming season in British F4.

“I’m excited to join Fortec Motorsport for my debut season in the F4 British Championship", Pothof said. "I would like to say a huge thanks to the team and my sponsors for their unwavering belief in me and making this incredible opportunity possible. Thank you for being the wind beneath my wings. Let's make this a season to remember”

Pothof previously raced in the PTC Cup with a Citroen C1 and was best rookie, then took part in the 24 Hours of Zolder as part of an all-female line-up in 2022, finishing second in class.

She also entered Belcar events as well as endurance races, before starting testing F4. She has recently also tested a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car.

Nina Pothof first made headlines by winning the gold medal at the FIA Motorsport Games in 2019 in Vallelunga, Italy. At just 16 years of age, she showed her potential and emerged as the winner alongside her teammate Bastiaan van Loenen, representing the Netherlands in the Karting Slalom competition.

Earlier that year, Pothof competed in the FIA Girls in Karting Challenge to collect valuable experience, and she has since built on that momentum despite the initial struggle to secure funding to compete full time.

Next to her on-track activities, Nina works as driver coach, has a large following on her YouTube channel and social media, where she represents Veloce Esports as sim and real-world racer. Having become a big name in esports content creation, Pothof now has over 250k followers on Instagram and over 90k on TikTok.

The 2024 British F4 season will start in April with the first event taking place at Donington Park from 27th to 28th April.
