Driver/owner Samantha Tan made history in 2021 when she claimed the overall title in the 24H Series, at her first ever international campaign. One year later, ST Racing further expanded her operations and acquired two the brand new BMW M4 GT3s.

Tan and co-drivers went on to secure the first global win for the new generation M4, with a historic victory at the 12H of Mugello.

Tan and ST Racing's teammate Nick Wittmer showed impressive pace in a partial GT World Challenge America campaign, where the Canadian duo were fifth in ProAm at debut at Sonoma – but were then forced to miss most of the remaining rounds when Tan was crashed out in race 1 at VIR, significantly damaging the #38 BMW.

Tan, Wittmer and Harry Gottsacker were back for the final round of the season – the 8H of Indianapolis – where ST Racing took Silver class victory and an overall top10.

At the same time, Samantha Tan Racing continued to climb the ladder of international sports car racing and entered its first SRO event in Europe, at the biggest GT3 race in the world: the 24 Hours of Spa. Tan completed the race in ninth place in the Silver class - in one of her best achievements as a GT3 driver.

Tan will now return to GT World Challenge America for a full season in 2023, eager to capitalize on her quick progression with GT3 machinery. The driver/owner will share the spectacular #38 BMW M4 GT3 with yet to be announced teammates.

“I’m ecstatic to be back in the GTWC paddock again – this time for the full season!" – Samantha stated. "We were met with many difficulties last year which prevented us from competing at the majority of events, but we will once again step up for the challenge this upcoming season."

"This year, our BMW M4 GT3 will be run by the STR38 Motorsports crew, a team of highly experienced and dedicated engineers/mechanics from around the world managed by a familiar face, Jon Miller. I look forward to another great year of racing with SRO!”

Previously to their step up to GT3, ST Racing has achieved success on the SRO platform since 2017, when it entered Pirelli World Challenge in the TC class. From 2018 to 2020, ST Racing competed in the GT4 America West and SprintX - also finishing runner up in 2019, and has entered selected races in TC America.

The 2023 season is set to start at Sonoa Raceway for the first double-header on 30 March to 2 April. The seven-event calendar then includes race meetings at NOLA Motorsports Park, COTA - where ST Racing previously took GT4 SprintX and TC America class wins and podiums - VIR, Road America and Sebring. The 8 Hours of Indianapolis will then traditionally round out the season on 5-6-7 October.
