Sarah Bovy is set to make her return to the 24 Hours of Spa in 2026, joining an all-Belgian lineup with Comtoyou Racing for her eighth appearance at the iconic endurance classic.
The Brussels-born driver, one of the most recognizable figures in GT racing and winner of the Gold Cup class in 2022 with Iron Dames, will now share the #700 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO with compatriots Nicolas Baert, Xavier Knauf and Grégory Servais. The quartet will compete in the ProAm class, in a distinctive entry that is expected to attract strong home support.
Bovy returns to the Belgian endurance classic for the first time since 2023, and announces her first racing commitment after the restructuring of the Iron Dames project at the end of 2025. Her comeback also marks her first confirmed race outing of the 2026 season, having last raced full time in the European Le Mans Series in 2025.
“I wasn’t on the grid [of the 24 Hours of Spa] in 2024 or 2025, so I’m all the more delighted to have reached an agreement with Comtoyou Racing,” Bovy said. “I’ve known the team for many years, especially Jean-Michel Baert and Francois Verbist, and I’m really happy to be part of it. I was able to do a short test with the Aston Martin Vantage and I think I should feel quite comfortable behind the wheel."
“The project is fantastic since we’ll be an all-Belgian quartet. As I get along so well with my three team-mates, I know we’re going to have a great time. What’s more, I think we’ll be a force to be reckoned with in our class.”
The #700 entry represents an additional car for Comtoyou Racing, which claimed overall victory in the centenary edition of the race in 2024. Bovy has already completed a test outing with the team and is ready to bring her experience to the quartet in the role of one of the two pro drivers in the line up, alongside Baert.
Since returning to GT racing in 2021 under the banner of Iron Dames after a stint in single seaters with W Series, Sarah Bovy has participated in some of the most prestigious sportscar championships in the world, including European Le Mans Series - where she won three races - FIA WEC, IMSA, GT World Challenge Europe. The Belgian has entered five 24H of Le Mans with a best finish of fourth, and three 24H of Daytona.
The Belgian quartet will now head into the June 25–28 2026 24 Hours of Spa aiming to contend for class honours in the ProAm class.
