Vicky Farfus continued her progress in the Ginetta Junior Championship as she ran inside the top-10 at Oulton Park, before scoring points in race two with a 17th place result in an encouraging weekend for the Brazilian racer where she was unfortunate not to achieve higher finishes.
Stepping into the highly competitive Ginetta Junior Championship for 2026, Farfus has enjoyed a promising start to her campaign. After twice finishing inside the points at Donington Park, Farfus continued her progress during round two on the iconic Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. After contending for top-15 results, the Paradine Competition driver secured a best result of 16th in race one to improve upon her highest finish from the season opener.
On-track action began on Thursday as the drivers participated in four short test sessions. A number of red flags disrupted the running, however Farfus was able to bank valuable experience while completing a total of 29 laps. It was a strong day for the Brazilian racer who set the 12th fastest time overall with a quickest lap of a 2:04.286.
The young racers returned to action on Friday with two additional test sessions to work on car setup. Farfus completed a further 23 laps with her quickest time of a 2:05.193 placing her in 19th position, but just one second away from the top-8.
Qualifying took place early on Saturday morning with the drivers looking to take advantage of their three timed laps. The session was halted before any laps were completed after Henry Carter stopped out on the circuit. When qualifying resumed, Vicky’s fastest time came on her first lap with the warmer track temperatures leading to the tyres overheating. Her following two laps were within a quarter of a second of her best to underline her consistency with the Paradine Competition driver qualifying in 18th position with a quickest time of a 2:04.840.
Race one took place on Saturday afternoon with Farfus lining up from 18th on the grid. The Brazilian racer got a great start and she immediately passed Jorn Helder for 17th, before completing lap one in 16th position after overtaking Henry Cameron. After maintaining her position in the competitive midfield on lap two, Farfus was inside the top-15 at the conclusion of lap three after Dominic Darling spun on the exit of the Brittens chicane.
With a number of cars out of position after qualifying and others recovering after a difficult start to the race, the battles remained intense during the middle portion of the race. Superb avoidance on lap four saw Farfus climb up to 11th after the Paradine Competition driver did a nice job to capitalise on incidents around her. Now within reach of a maiden top-10, Farfus was driving confidently as she battled with Vladislav Tomenchuk and Bailey Doughty.
Following a great move on Tomenchuk at the start of lap six, Farfus was briefly into ninth position before she was shuffled back down the order. Beginning lap seven in 14th position, Farfus was doing well to keep her car within the track limits while a number of her rivals were now being assessed time penalties. As the drivers approached the Shell Oils hairpin, Farfus again drove smartly to avoid contact with Addison Smith as the MDD Motorsport driver rejoined the circuit following an off-track moment.
On lap eight, a small mistake from Farfus at Island bend saw her take to the grass and this error dropped her behind both Devon Hagelen and Kai Veitch. Farfus remained in contention for a top-15 result until the final corner of the last lap where the Brazilian racer spun after contact with the driver ahead. As several drivers checked up to avoid a potential incident, the difference in closing speeds resulted in the Paradine Competition driver spinning on the exit of Lodge. As a result, Farfus took the chequered flag in 22nd position in what was an unfortunate end to a highly-promising race where she ran inside the top-10.

After an off-day on Sunday, the drivers returned to action for their final races at Oulton Park on Monday. The grid positions for race two of the weekend were based upon the second fastest times set in qualifying with Farfus lining up from 17th. The Brazilian racer made another good start with Farfus challenging for positions within the top-15 during the opening lap. Following a superb move on Addison Smith at Druids, Farfus completed lap one in 16th position before coming under attack from championship leader Lewis Goff.
Goff looked to the inside at Old Hall corner to begin lap two and after the R Racing driver moved ahead, this lost Farfus some momentum. As a result, she fell behind both Smith and Kai Veitch while an off-track moment for Vladislav Tomenchuk saw Farfus complete lap two in 18th position.
After retaining her place on lap three, Farfus moved inside the top-15 on lap four after an incident involving Dominic Darling and Noah Young at Cascades saw both drivers retire from the race. With both of their cars beached in the gravel, the safety car was deployed with Farfus overtaking Veitch prior to the race being neutralised.
The restart took placed on lap seven and after initially holding her position inside the top-15, Farfus came under attack from Veitch and Andrew Robinson. Almost running three-wide entering Old Hall corner, Farfus was shuffled back to 17th before also losing out to Ethan Brass.
Starting the final lap in 18th position, Farfus had built a small advantage to the drivers behind and therefore she could focus forward in the closing. A spin for Josh Watts at Lodge gained Farfus one position, before she was overtaken by a recovering Daniel Oliver to finish race two in 18th position. Following a track limits penalty applied to race-winner Riley Cranham, Farfus was classified in 17th position to add her to tally of championship points.
The final race at Oulton Park took place on Monday afternoon and with the grid positions based upon the results from race two, Farfus lined up from 17th on the grid. As the lights went out, the Paradine Competition driver got another excellent launch as she looked to gain places off the line. After being squeezed towards the pit wall, Farfus lost ground to those around her before ending lap one back in 17th position.
The Brazilian racer started lap two side-by-side with Riley Cranham and after the R Racing driver moved ahead at Old Hall, Farfus ran side by side with Ethan Brass into Cascades. With Farfus on the inside of the corner, light contact was made with Farfus spinning before being collected by a competitor. This resulted in suspension damage to her Ginetta G40 and sadly Farfus was forced to retire from the race.
It was an unfortunate end to a promising weekend for Farfus who consistently battled for top-15 positions, while even briefly running inside the top-10. Scoring championship points in race two, Farfus gained valuable experience at a challenging circuit while continuing to develop her racecraft. The next round of the Ginetta Junior Championship will take place at Croft on the weekend of 27th/28th June.
