W-Series has announced the addition of a second, non-points paying race for the Assen round to be assumably contested on Sunday, even though the schedule is still subject to approval from the FIA.
The race will feature a reverse grid start from Saturday's finishing order, as an experiment for next year's calendar.
W-Series inaugural season's calendar, in fact, is composed of merely 6 rounds of single races, contested on Saturdays. Many fans have called for a longer calendar from the second season and possibly the addition of a second race per weekend.
So far W-Series proved to be extremely receptive to its audience, also responding quickly to car liveries adjustments after the first race.
Entering in its second half of the championship, W-Series will be back on track next week at Norisring, Germany.
