Thanks to the partnership between Women in Motorsports North America and the SRO Motorsports Group, the 'WIMNA SRO Inspire Award' is set to be launched and presented at the end of season gala in Indianapolis on October 6th.

The award celebrates women in motorsports who demonstrate visionary leadership, promote the inclusion and advancement of women, and serve as role models through their achievements in the industry and as well as mentorship of emerging female talents.

Nominees will be selected for their career accomplishments, ethical integrity, and ability to make a significant impact in motorsport by challenging stereotypes. Eligible nominees are women working within the SRO America paddock, who will be nominated and voted by team members and colleagues.

“We are elated to announce our partnership with SRO Motorsports Group for the prestigious WIMNA SRO Inspire Award,” said Cindy Sisson, Executive Director of Women In Motorsport North America.

“This award aims to honor and celebrate an outstanding woman who has served as an exemplary leader in the motorsports industry, highlighting an unwavering dedication and remarkable contributions that have lifted standards and paved the way for future generations of women in motorsports. The WIMNA SRO Inspire Award is a tribute to trailblazers who inspire and lead by example, and the recipients truly embody the spirit of this recognition.”

WIMNA is a community of professionals, both women and men, dedicated to supporting women in motorsport across all disciplines. The organization was founded in 2022 by Beth Paretta and Lyn St. James, and advocates and works towards an inclusive environment through several programs. Among its initiatives, WIMNA organizes the 'Women With Drive' Summit, which brings together some of the most influential experts in motorsport to address some of the most current issues on the topic.

The winner of the WIMNA SRO Inspire Award will receive the accolade during the SRO gala, and will be invited to the fourth annual Women with Drive IV—Driven by Mobil 1 Summit in December.

“After attending our first WIMNA Summit in 2024, SRO Motorsports America is very pleased to expand our work with Women in Motorsports North America,” explained SRO Motorsports America General Manager Staci Langham.

“We share mutual goals that we worked hard to encompass in the SRO X WIMNA Inspire Award. We look forward to our continued partnership as we celebrate and promote outstanding women across motorsports.”
