Abbi Pulling leads female entries in Jarama Formula E Rookie Test

Four women were amongst the field of 20 at the Circuito del Jarama for Formula E's annual rookie test, with GB3 championship hopeful Abbi Pulling leading the way for the quartet by finishing in the top 10 of both the morning and afternoon sessions.

While Saturday saw the Circuito del Jarama host the first ever Madrid E-Prix in front of an excited sellout crowd, Sunday saw the circuit settle into a more subdued day of rookie testing. 20 drivers who have never raced in Formula E before took to the track for six hours of running split across two sessions, with drivers from championships such as DTM, GB3, F1 Academy and Formula 2 gaining valuable experience in the Gen3Evo cars.
French driver Théophile Naël surprised many by topping the overall timesheets for Mahindra Racing in his first Formula E outing, while British star Abbi Pulling was the fastest woman out of the four entered into the test. Here’s the breakdown of each session:
