Iron Dames have become synonymous with passion and hard work in highly competitive environments and already boast a series of groundbreaking success stories — but they’re not done yet. With Alexandra Vateva, they add their fourth “Supported by Iron Dames” athlete to their new program, which provides promising female talents with resources, visibility, and the support they need to progress.

In recent years, the project founded by visionary Deborah Mayer has expanded its presence into other forms of motorsport - from single seaters, to rallying as well as karting, with its crucial junior programme to foster the talents of tomorrow - to strengthen its mission of pursuing excellence, having proven how women not only can compete at top level, but can and will succeed when provided with the right support.

The "Supported by Iron Dames" program, effectively a talent incubator, was launched earlier this year with three drivers: Laura van den Hengel as the sole GT racer, 9 year-old Ava Lawrence in karting and

Emma Chalvin in rallying. The new addition to the stable is silver-rated Alexandra Vateva, who made her way through GT4 racing up to several Porsche Cup series to showcase her talent, where she started to win races in her still young racing career.

"As the pinnacle of my career so far, this opportunity will allow me to chase my goals at the highest level and provide a platform to show every young girl watching that no dream is ever too big" – commented the Bulgarian racer.

Selected as part of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland Talent Pool Program, Vateva has advanced from racing a Porsche Cayman GT4 in 2023 to piloting a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) in 2024, securing multiple podium finishes.

Building on her experience, she made a one-off appearance in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux at Spa-Francorchamps, where she claimed class victory in both Belgian races and ultimately won a thrilling battle for the overall victory in race two.

She concluded her 2024 season with a standout performance in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland at Hockenheimring, winning the one-hour Endurance race alongside Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup racer Robert De Haan.

She then made history as the first-ever female driver to join the Porsche Cup Middle East with Lechner Racing in 2025, securing multiple class podiums and an overall top-five finish before Alexandra started her season in Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux at Zandvoort where she experienced a rollercoaster weekend, battling in the overall top ten as well as for the rookie podium.

She will be back on track in the Benelux series, now supported by Iron Dames, in Zandvoort from 6th to 8th June as part of the DTM support program.
