Two more talented female racers are set to join the ever-growing EuroNASCAR championships in 2022: twin sisters Aliyyah and Yasmeen Koloc have been announced as the new drivers of the #29 and #47 Ford Mustangs lined up by Buggyra ZM Racing the European NASCAR divisions next year.

An established and very successful outfit in several motor racing series including Truck racing, Cross Country and GT Endurance, Buggyra ZM Racing is thus expanding its programs to NASCAR Whelen Euro Series with a 2-car operation in both the series championships.

“Our NWES participation is our first step into NASCAR ‘territory’." commented Martin Koloc, owner of the team founded in 1969. "We strongly believe in the NASCAR concept in terms of extremely competitive racing as well as a platform for young drivers’ development and diversity".

The championship has historically featured quality female competition. In 2021, veteran Italian racer Arianna Casoli was joined on the EN2 field by Austrian Alina Loibnegger.

UAE-born 17-year-old drivers Aliyyah and Yasmeen already had a taste of the powerful EuroNASCAR machinery through a series of tests where they impressed.

The Koluc sisters entered the Club Challenge event at Most last August and went on to complete a testing program at the EuroNASCAR test facility at Fontenay Le Comte, France, in November where they could get up to speed with the raw 400 hp cars with no electronic aids.

Despite their young age, Aliyyah and Yasmeen Koloc already have a wide variety of racing experiences: Aliyyah became the youngest ever winner in the French Truck Racing Championship in 2020 and has also competed in GT3 cars as well as touring cars.

By entering both EN1 and EN2 divisions, they aim at maximising track time and speeding up the learning curve.

“I’m so excited for this new challenge ahead of us!" said Aliyyah Koloc. "I tested a few times this year and enjoyed it a lot. I can combine my experiences from truck racing and GT racing together.”

While Aliyyah will be behind the wheel of the #29 Ford Mustang, her sister Yasmeen will pilot the #47 machine. She started karting in 2019 but quickly moved on to race cars, winning the 2020 Endurance TC-2.0 championship. Alongside a touring car program, she already had the opportunity to experience GT4 cars and the new ERA electric formula car.

"It is going to be really fun to drive the NASCAR car, quite different from the GT4 but I’m really looking forward to this new experience and I think it’s going to be very fun!” echoed Yasmeen.

With six double-headers on some of the most iconic European race tracks plus two special events, EuroNASCAR will kick off its 2022 season on 09/10 April at Hockenheimring, Germany. Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia and Brands Hatch are set to host the second and third rounds, before an All-Star special event in Italy. The traditional rounds of Most and Zolder in September and October will precede the double-point final at Automotodrom Grobnik, Croatia.
