Visser had originally been scheduled to contest only the eight-race regular season with Bremotion x Rehberg Racing under the BS+COMPETITION banner, sharing the #77 Chevrolet Camaro with Julien Rehberg. However, the promising rookie campaign has convinced the Dutch driver to remain in the championship for its decisive Playoff rounds, with Visser joining Team Bleekemolen for the final two rounds at Vallelunga on September 18-20 and Zolder on October 16-18.
She will share Team Bleekemolen's #76 Toyota with Vinnie Meskelis, with double points available during the Playoffs as Visser attempts to convert her regular-season momentum into championship silverware.
"After getting a taste of NASCAR racing, I definitely wanted to finish the season and continue fighting for the Lady Trophy," said Visser. "Moving to Team Bleekemolen for the Playoffs feels like a very natural next step. As a Dutch driver, joining a Dutch team makes it even more special, and I'm excited to see what we can achieve together in Vallelunga and Zolder."
Visser's NASCAR Euro Series debut campaign has shown plenty of promise, with top ten finishes as well as a top-6 as personal best, amid a series of technical issues that marred her campaign since the opening weekend and prevented the experienced Dutchwoman to fully capitalize on her speed.
Her first weekend at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia was particularly challenging, as Visser was forced to contest the race without power steering. Despite the difficult circumstances and the physical demands of wrestling a 400-horsepower V8-powered Camaro, she fought through the field to secure a top-ten overall finish as well as a division victory.
The Dutch driver continued to impress at Circuit Paul Ricard, where she qualified on pace before producing another strong drive through the field to finish sixth overall, competing against experienced OPEN division competitors.
By the conclusion of the regular season at Most, Visser battled through technical issues over the Czech weekend but still secured a Lady Trophy win in race 1. The former W Series vice-champion currently holds 173 points and sits 12th overall in the OPEN championship, leading the Lady Trophy classification after the regular season.
Her switch to Team Bleekemolen therefore comes at a crucial point in the season; with the opportunity to fight for the Lady Trophy now within reach, Visser has elected to continue her campaign with one of the established front-running teams in NASCAR Euro Series.
BS+COMPETITION will continue to support Visser during the Playoffs as she bids to defend her position at the top of the Lady Trophy class standings. With double points available, however, the stakes will be significantly higher than during the regular season: Visser will now have two opportunities to capitalize on the experience built during her previous rounds, with the class title and potential overall top-ten finishes both within reach.
