Beitske Visser leads first Misano practice

The winner of the last round in Zolder was fastest in this morning first practice session in Italy.



Coming from an impressive victory in the last WSeries round, Beitske Visser has so far kept the momentum going by leading most of this morning free practice session in Misano.

The flying-Dutchwoman ended the 45 minutes session with a fastest lap of 1:35.193, one tenth clear of other championship contender Alice Powell, who finished second.


A very impressive Jessica Hawkins found herself very comfortable on the Italian racetrack and run steadily in the top positions for the whole session, ultimately finishing third fastest by clocking a 1:35.365.


Compatriot and championship leader Jamie Chadwick was fourth fastest, right ahead of Marta Garcia in fifth.


Home star Vicky Piria was leading the pace in the initial stages and finished in P7.

Naomi Schiff, Fabienne Wohlwend and Tasmin Pepper completed the top 10.


Reserve driver Keszthelyi, stepping in for the injured Kimilainen, managed to was P12, 9 tenth off from Visser's pace. She was schedule to drive in the Zolder round but was involved in a incident early in the race.


After a very hot but trouble-free first session, WSeries drivers will hit the track once again in the afternoon for second practice.
