American racer Brenna Schubert is set to make her NASCAR Euro Series V8GP debut later this week at Circuit Paul Ricard, joining CAAL Racing for the EuroNASCAR event at Le Castellet on 23–24 May.

The 26-year-old American will drive the #73 Ford Mustang in the championship’s premier V8GP division, stepping up after previously participating in the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series Rookie Challenge. The move marks an important step in Schubert’s rapidly developing international racing career as she prepares to compete against some of the top drivers in the European division of stock car racing.

The American driver joins one of the most successful organizations in the history of the NASCAR Euro Series in CAAL Racing, and arrives with a diverse motorsport résumé that continues to expand across multiple disciplines. Alongside her EuroNASCAR program, Schubert currently works as a professional driving instructor at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, coaching drivers in high-performance Corvette, Cadillac, and Radical machinery.

Before beginning her motorsport career, Schubert trained as a ballerina, a background she credits for helping develop the balance, rhythm, coordination, and focus that now translate into her driving style on track. Alongside racing, she remains active in a variety of athletic pursuits including golf, swimming, bowling, roller skating, and dance.

Her rise through the motorsport ranks has been marked by several notable achievements in driver development programs and shootouts. Schubert won the 2023 PT Autosport Aspiring Driver Shootout before adding victory in the 2026 AE Victory Racing Female Driver Shootout. She was also the only woman selected for the prestigious 2023 Mazda Spec MX-5 Shootout.

Schubert’s versatility has further been recognized through her selection as a second-round draft pick for Racing Prodigy’s P3 Championship in the Radical SR1 category. She has also demonstrated strong pace in endurance racing competition, already securing multiple podium finishes in the World Racing League this season behind the wheel of the AE Victory Racing's Toyota Supra GT4.

The opportunity to race at Circuit Paul Ricard represents another important step forward for Schubert, whose debut also carries an additional personal storyline, as she will race on track against her boyfriend Jordan O’Brien, who continues his campaign with Hendriks Motorsport in the #50 Ford Mustang.

“This will also be Jordan’s and my first time racing against each other, other than in karting,” Schubert said. “I am so unbelievably excited and grateful to have secured my seat in V8GP at Circuit Paul Ricard. Racing at this track has always been a dream of mine.”

“It will certainly be a challenge jumping into V8GP for my debut race in the NASCAR Euro Series, but I feel ready and prepared. Thank you to the Barchetta Charitable Fund and the Shift Up Now Foundation for making this race possible.”

Schubert’s arrival further strengthens the presence of female talents within the NASCAR Euro Series paddock, while her progression from the Rookie Challenge into the V8GP category highlights the championship’s ladder for emerging drivers.
