One of the most successful Brazilian female drivers in recent years, Bruna Tomaselli was confirmed today as the first woman on the grid for the 2023 Stock Series season - the access category to the famous Stock Car Series Brasil.

Bruna joined the W Series grid for three years, where she competed in the virtual competition in 2020, held due to the pandemic - and then joined the field in the 2021 and 2022 seasons - scoring a best finish of fifth, conquered at Red Bull Ring in 2021 and then at Miami in the following year.

“I'm very happy to compete in my first season in Brazil since 2020. The Stock Series is a very competitive category and serves as a direct access to Stock Car, which is the main category in the country."

For her debut in the access category for the traditional Stock Pro Series, Bruna Tomaselli will join the Motortech Competitions Team and will drive a Chevrolet Cruze with the number #97, with Arthur Leist as teammate. "Motortech will be a great home for me to accelerate cars of this type for the first time and try to be competitive as soon as I adapt." - Bruna continued.

"A team that has been champion several times, that has been fighting for the title every season, so I think it is a very good team to make my debut year in the category."

With a motorsport experience built since the age of 7, Tomaselli has been especially involved in formula racing over the years - Brazilian Formula Junior 2013, South American Formula 4 in 2015 and 2016, US F2000 National Championship from 2017 to 2019 and then W Series.

One of her most recent participations in national competitions was at Endurance Brasil in 2021, where she became the first woman to win a race in the category. Now Tomaselli is getting ready for a new challenge, as she returns to the tracks of her homeland in the Stock Series.

The 2023 Stock Series season will have 6 rounds and the debut is scheduled for April 23 at Interlagos Circuit, in São Paulo. Bruna does not hide that she expect the upcoming season to be a big learning opportunity: "It's going to be a year of a lot of learning, but I hope there will be good fights in my first year in the Stock Series."
