At the second round of the Ginetta Junior Championship, Malaysian-Hong Kong driver Katrina Ee scored her first points of the 2025 campaign in the series’ 500th race.

Tim Gray Motorsport’s Katrina Ee took her first points of the season on her fifth start at the Silverstone round of the 2025 Ginetta Junior Championship.
The weekend started off on a challenging note as Ee battled with understeer throughout all the weekend and qualified 25th on Saturday but was promoted to 23rd after Felix Livesey and Noah Young both had all of their laps deleted.
Byrne lined up on pole for the opening race of the weekend alongside Fred Green, but at the start Byrne fell to third and was eventually spun by Scott Lindblom at Village corner and fell to last. As the Irishman fell down the order, Katrina Ee, who started 23rd, fell to 24th by the end of the opening lap.
Having taken the lead at the start, Fred Green held it for most of the race, until he was caught up by Rocco Coronel and began exchanging positions with the Red Bull junior for various laps.
Behind them, Noah Young, Felix Livesey and Felipe Reijs all had separate spins and fell to last, enabling Katrina Ee to capitalize on the attrition and get near the top 20.
At the front meanwhile, Rocco Coronel won the opening race of the weekend ahead of Fred Green and fellow Red Bull junior Scott Lindblom. Tim Gray Motorsport’s Katrina Ee finished 23rd in a race where a bad start compromised her race.
Race two was the series’ 500th race and it saw Fred Green on pole alongside Rocco Coronel as Katrina Ee started 21st. Green held the lead through the opening lap while two cars spun at Luffield, including Matthew Chiwara who took to the gravel to avoid the chaos.
On the following lap, Torrin Byrne crashed into Alfie Slater and Scott Lindblom after an excursion through the grass before Village corner. Under half a lap later, Emmilio del Grosso went off at Becketts. With both Byrne’s and del Grosso’s cars stopped, the safety car was called out on track and the race was neutralized.

Staying out of trouble throughout the entire race, Ee moved up to 20th and in the points-paying positions, by the time the safety car was brought on track.
With four minutes left on the clock, the race was restarted and Green held the lead from Coronel as Ee fell to 23rd. However, the Hong Kong driver’s luck turned around as Green spun after contact with Rocco Coronel and fell to last ahead of the final lap.
On the final lap, Max Cuthbert was spun at Vale and stopped just outside of the track with suspension damage as Ethan Lennon also fell down the order after an incident on the final sector.
As the checkered flag fell, Coronel won the championship’s 500th race ahead of Joseph Smith and Ethan Carney as Katrina Ee scored her first points of the season with a 20th-place finish.
For the final race of the weekend, Rocco Coronel started on pole alongside Joseph Smith, as Katrina Ee lined up on the 20th grid slot.
At the start, Coronel kept the lead as Colin Cronin, Revie Lake and Josh Watts all crashed at the Arena corner and retired from the race, causing the safety car to be called out on track.
Following a lengthy safety car period which took up most of the race, the green flag was shown with nine minutes to go and as Coronel kept the lead, Ee jumped to 18th in the opening corners.
Ahead, Rocco Coronel took his fifth consecutive win ahead of Alfie Slater and Joseph Smith. Ee fell to 22nd at the flag as she was overtaken by Matthew Chiwara and Joshua Henry.
