Australian racer Imogen Radburn has confirmed a switch to the Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia for its inaugural season in 2026, embarking on a new chapter in her career with an all-female team operation.

The 19-year-old will contest the one-make GT series backed by a program designed to champion women in motorsport, with females filling every role within the team structure. From mechanics and engineers to media personnel, truck driver and Radburn herself behind the wheel, the initiative represents a fully female-led effort on and off the track.

Radburn’s team will also include initiatives from Motorsport Australia’s Girls on Track program, focusing on increasing female participation across all areas of motorsport. The program has become a key development pathway for young women looking to build careers both behind the wheel and within team operations.

New South Wales native Imogen Radburn has built a strong foundation in junior single-seater racing. She finished on the podium five times across two seasons in the Australian Formula 4 Championship, with her 2025 campaign highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the overall standings. Her performances earned an invitation to take part in F1 Academy’s first-ever Rookie Test at Circuito de Navarra in Spain, where she was selected as one of 18 drivers globally.

Radburn will make her Mustang Cup Australia debut at Phillip Island on March 27–29, with the series forming part of the Shannons SpeedSeries calendar. The championship will support GT World Challenge Australia, providing exposure to a high-profile GT racing environment.

Prior to her move into GT machinery, Radburn had focused her career on Formula Ford and Formula 4, with a long-term ambition of reaching F1 Academy. She enjoyed a successful karting career in New South Wales, claiming multiple podium finishes before making her single-seater debut in the National Formula Ford Championship in 2022. Rapid progression followed and in 2024 she stepped up to Australian Formula 4, racing the new-generation Tatuus T421 car and securing a podium at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Radburn returned to the AU4 Championship in 2025, competing in the Gen2 class and enjoying a consistently strong season. She claimed six podium finishes, including three second-place results at The Bend, and despite missing one round, finished fourth in the championship with 153 points. All but one of her races ended in top-five finishes.

Alongside her Australian racing commitments, Radburn continued to build her international experience as she also undertook training and testing with Rodin Motorsport throughout 2025.

The move to Mustang Cup Australia marks Radburn’s first competitive outings in GT cars.
