Jodie Sloss will continue to receive backing from Aston Martin Racing, as she retains her place in the manufacturer’s prestigious AMR Driver Academy for a second consecutive season. The 23-year-old from Scotland remains the only female driver in the 2025 AMR Driver Academy line-up, which welcomes a new group of promising young talents competing in Aston Martin Vantage GT machinery across global championships.

The programme, launched in 2014, aims to identify and nurture future professional drivers from within the AMR partner team network. It offers tailored development opportunities across all areas of motorsport, and ultimately awards one standout participant with factory support for the following season and a test in the latest-spec Vantage GT3.

Now firmly established as a cornerstone of Aston Martin’s talent pipeline, the Driver Academy is judged by some of the sport’s most respected figures, including three-time Le Mans class winner Darren Turner, Aston Martin works driver Valentin Hasse-Clot, and four-time British GT champion Jonny Adam.

The selected drivers benefit from a comprehensive development structure, including a seminar that features simulator sessions, fitness testing and personalised training plans, commercial and media coaching, engineering workshops, and a factory tour including a visit to the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Technology Campus.

Adam Carter, Aston Martin Head of Endurance, highlighted the initiative's impact: “The AMR Driver Academy is now well proven and established, but it remains unique in its intense focus on driver development. Former winners such as Ross Gunn, Roman De Angelis and Valentin Hasse-Clot are now integral to our works line-up, which shows the pathway is real and achievable.”

Sloss first joined the programme in 2024, having rapidly climbed the motorsport ladder since winning the 2022 Formula Woman competition—despite having no prior racing experience. Transitioning from equestrian sports, she quickly impressed with her adaptability and speed, debuting in the GT Cup Championship before racing part-time in the Porsche Open Cup in 2023, where she claimed podiums in each of her three outings.

In 2024, she returned to GT Cup with Forsetti Motorsport, forming an all-female driver pairing with Rianna O'Meara-Hunt. The duo drove the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to four podiums in the GTH class over the first three rounds, including a standout second place at the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Her performances led to her selection for the AMR Driver Academy and the start of a promising partnership with the British marque.

Alongside her GT exploits, Sloss broadened her skillset with appearances in the all-electric NXT Gen Cup, scoring a best finish of 13th at the Sachsenring, and made a remarkable debut in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain, taking pole, fastest lap, and a podium finish in the CS Am class—all in one weekend, setting the stage for an ambitious 2025 campaign.

Now contesting her first full international season, Sloss has stepped up to the competitive FFSA French GT4 Championship with Mirage Racing, where she drives the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo. The French series visits some of the country's most iconic circuits, making it a valuable platform for Sloss to hone her racecraft at the European level.

She opened the year with a strong drive in wet conditions at Nogaro, narrowly missing the Am class podium by under half a second in Race 1. In just her second weekend in the series, she scored her first two podiums—second and third in class—at Dijon-Prenois, despite it being her debut at the circuit.

Reflecting on her renewed place in the programme, Sloss commented: "I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that Aston Martin Racing will continue their incredible support for my journey into the 2025 season, alongside their Driver Academy program!"

"After achieving podium finishes and making significant strides in 2024 with this prestigious manufacturer, I couldn’t be more excited to take this monumental step forward as I dive into my first season of European racing with the new EVO GT4 Vantage alongside Mirage Racing."

"Having the backing of such a renowned British manufacturer is truly an honor as I carve my path in the sport. A heartfelt thank you to my amazing AMR team, my sponsors, and all my supporters for believing in me and fueling my success."

With valuable experience now under her belt, a growing international racing résumé, and continued backing from one of motorsport’s most iconic brands, Jodie Sloss aims to continue her rise in GT racing; her next challenge will come at Spa-Francorchamps, as the French GT4 Championship heads to Belgium for round three.
