Brazilian racing driver Kaká Magno is set to make her debut in the Stock Series - the access category to Brazil's premier touring car championship Stock Car Pro Series.

Magno will team up with RTR Sport Team for the 2023 season, alongside teammate Vinicius Papareli.

It will be an important step in the career of the driver from Curitiba - but currently based in Italy - who has a wide experience in Brazilian karting and has raced in both open wheels and touring cars: the 34-year-old has raced in some of the most important karting competition on home soil, including the famous 500 Miles of Granja Viana.

Magno's passion for the sport is in her family's DNA, as her grandfather was a respected karting mechanic. In karting, she was Vice-Champion in the Paraná Cup, runner-up in the South Brazilian Kart Championship, runner-up in the Copa São Paulo Interior, with several podiums to her name.

In race cars, she drove in the Mercedes-Benz Challenge and Formula Inter, before moving to Europe, where she was set to contest the Griiip Championship in 2020 - a season that was canceled for the pandemic. While she continued to prepare for her European debut, Magno landed a seat in the Italian Prototype Championship, at the wheel of the fast Wolf Racing GB08 Thunder.

In 2022, Magno tested the EuroNASCAR machine and represented Brazil at the second edition of the FIA Motorsport Games at Paul Ricard, France.

Kaká is now ready to take on her new challenge in Stock Series, where she will drive the #25 machine.

“I am very happy with the opportunity to be part of the Stock Series grid", she said.

"I never imagined that one day I would be in this category that I have always admired and had the desire to be part of."

"I'm very excited. It will be a big challenge in my career", Magno continued, also stating that she is looking forward to continuing fighting off-the-track for the cause of women and diversity in all areas of life. Kaká is the second female driver to be announced on the grid of the main Stock Car Pro feeder series, as she joins former W Series driver Bruna Tomaselli (Motortech team).

“We will have a lot of work to do, but we are stronger than ever for this new challenge in the Stock Series” - Magno concluded, as she gears up for her rookie campaign, starting at Interlagos on 22-23 April.
