Mercedes AMG junior Luna Fluxa has entered the Iron Dames talent roster, and will enter the Young Talent programme of the groundbreaking all-female team while continuing to receive support from Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, which she joined in 2022 after her remarkable karting achievements.

This collaboration offers a unique opportunity for the Spanish up-and-coming star to further her motorsport career by drawing on the strengths of both organizations, helping her develop at a crucial stage of her motor racing career. She becomes the 21st athlete to become member of Iron Dames.

“We are delighted to welcome Luna Fluxa to the Iron Dames project", commented Deborah Mayer, Iron Dames founder. "Her talent and commitment at such a young age are remarkable. Luna embodies the spirit and values that our project stands for, and we look forward to supporting her as she continues to grow."

"Her journey in motorsport is just beginning and with the combined support of the Iron Dames and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, we believe she has a bright future ahead of her."

Fluxa, 14, started her racing journey in 2017 and has competed across Europe since 2019, quickly rising through the ranks of Spanish and International karting competitions.

She first attended the ‘mujer y motor’ programme, an initiative launched by the Spanish Automobile Federation to attract more females to motorsport before stepping up to some of the most prestigious karting series including WSK and IAME Euro Series in the 60Mini class first, then up into OK Junior in 2022.

After a highly positive debut season, she continued her development through 2023 in the OK Junior categories, before advancing to the OK class in 2024.

Having battled for the top ten in the FIA World and European Championships, she was selected by the F1 Academy Discover Your Drive programme to enter the inaugural Champions of the Future and Champions of the Future Academy series - which she currently leads after the first three rounds with several dominant victories and podiums to her name.

Joining the ranks of Iron Dames will therefore be yet another milestone in her racing career, as the 14-year-old continues to impress at the highest levels of karting.

“I am super excited and grateful to join the Iron Dames Family", Fluxa stated. "This project is so inspiring to me. Being part of this great group of female athletes performing at the highest level means a lot to me."

"Having the support of both Mercedes-AMG F1 team and Iron Dames is the perfect mix to continue my development. I can’t wait to fly both colours on track.”
