Uruguayan talent Maite Cáceres is set to make her return to the F4 US Championship, as she re-joins International Motorsport for her 2024 campaign.
Maite Cáceres is set to continue in single seater racing as she gets ready for the upcoming F4 US Championship, returning to the series after her debut in race cars in 2022.
Cáceres will race again for International Motorsport (Inter MS), returning to American soil after a season in F1 Academy.

"Maite started in the world of karting with us, so she shares the values and objectives with which we carry out this sport."
"We want to continue growing and there is nothing better than recovering Maite, an old friend of the team, who has had a first season in F1 Academy growing up in each race", Martinez continued. "We know her determination and qualities, so together with the human and technical team of International Motorsport - who have managed to obtain victories in the last three races of 2023 in F4 USA - we search to continue with solid growth."
Maite raced in karting in her native Uruguay as well as in the US, before stepping up to formulas in the F4 US in 2022. In a 20-car field, she made big improvements and claimed a P12 at Road America at only her second race weekend. After a solid round at Mid Ohio, she returned to the series for the season finale at Circuit of the Americas, where she continued to hone her skills in the battles and secured two top-15 finishes.
At the same time, she also contested two triple-header rounds in the USF Juniors championship, where she topped her personal best results and scored a pair of 11th place finishes both at Road America and COTA.
The 21 year old Uruguayan talent then moved to Europe in 2023 and made her European debut with a point-scoring finish at Circuito Ricardo Tormo, Valencia. At her first ever race on a track and on a car she had never driven before, Cáceres was P10 and P9. She would score more points at Circuit de Catalunya, with an eighth place finish in race 1.
The Formula Winter Series appearances with Campos Racing served as preparation for the first ever F1 Academy championship and Cáceres joined Nerea Marti and Lola Lovinfosse among the ranks of Mercantile Campos Racing.
The F1 Academy season was another positive experience for the Uruguayan, who progressively built speed and was in the top ten for the first time in Valencia race 2, in the second round of the championship. Despite the lack of experience of the European tracks, Cáceres improved with consistency and scored her first point in Zandvoort. Having built more confidence at the same time, Maite made good steps forward in qualifying and arguably had a very positive second half of the season which included eighth place finishes at Monza and Paul Ricard.
Maite is now ready to return to familiar territory and tackle a new season in F4 competitions.
The US-based Formula 4 series is expected to kick-off its 2024 season in April at NOLA Motorsports Park. Six triple-header rounds are scheduled, with some of the most popular North American track featuring on the calendar: from Road America to Mid Ohio, the series will then head to New Jersey Motorsports Park and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, before the season finale at COTA in November.
